Text Item Column

A text item is a custom, text-based column you can add to your gradebook.

  1. In list view, select the plus icon, then select Add Text Item to open a side panel. In grid view, select the plus icon, then select Add Text Item to open the Manual column settings pop-up.

  2. Enter a name for the column. If no name is entered, the column name is New Text Item and the date you created it.

  3. If you're not ready to share this text column with students, leave Hidden from students selected. If you're ready to share, select Visible to students. If you're not ready to share, leave Hidden from students selected.

  4. Optionally, enter a description with a maximum of 750 characters.

  5. Select Save.
