The text search field, with text that says "Search Email Name or Subject" and a magnifying glass symbol.

Accessibility Updates

We made accessibility updates across multiple modules for end user to ensure a more inclusive and compliant user experience.

Login page aligns with WCAG structure and focus

Addresses multiple WCAG issues on the login page—including structure, labeling, and focus order—so users relying on assistive technologies can sign in with clearer cues and consistent navigation. Admins can fine-tune on-page wording using Page Verbiage as needed.

Designation selection buttons are properly labeled and focusable

Donor roll list reads correctly to screen readers

Applies to: Giving (Donor Roll)

Accordions, lists, and headings follow semantic order

Applies to: Site UI (Accordions, Lists, Headings)

Updates markup so accordions parse correctly, lists use proper elements, and headings follow a logical hierarchy, benefiting both assistive tech and SEO while making content easier to scan.

Carousels have clear roles, labels, and visible focus

Applies to: Site UI (Carousels & Navigation)

Standardizes focus indicators, assigns correct carousel roles, and clarifies control labels so keyboard and screen-reader users can move confidently between slides and controls.

Controls use correct labels, headings, and target sizes

Ensures toggle controls have accessible names that include visible labels and adds proper autocomplete attributes to inputs. Screen readers now announce “Show/Hide” consistently and fields provide expected purpose hints.

Input purposes and button labels are consistent

Applies to: Site UI (Forms & Buttons)

Aligns input-purpose attributes, clarifies button text, and standardizes toggle announcements to reduce ambiguity and improve consistency for assistive technology users.

Keyboard focus is reliable; error pages have proper headings

Content reflows cleanly; carousels and progress bars are accessible

Applies to: Site UI (Layout & Interactive Components)

Ensures layouts reflow without loss of content, updates carousel roles and controls, and improves progress-bar semantics so small-screen and AT users can navigate and track progress without hidden or mislabeled content.

Lists and radio buttons use correct grouping and labels

Applies to: Site UI (Lists & Form Inputs)

Uses proper list tags and groups radio options with clear labels so screen readers announce choices coherently and users can select options without confusion.

List semantics and heading hierarchy improve page structure

Refines list markup and heading levels across affected pages so assistive technologies interpret sections correctly, improving navigation and comprehension.

Polls, sliders, and layout tables are accessible

Applies to: Site UI (Polls, Sliders, Layout)

Scoreboard styles no longer affect site templates

Applies to: Site UI (Scoreboards & Templates)

Prevents scoreboard component styles from leaking into unrelated template elements so theming remains consistent, preserving brand styling and readability.
