Student Import
The Student Import loads student demographic information into the system. This can include programs of study which are especially useful in organizing students within the system.
Required Import Fields:

Active | Yes | The field indicates that the faculty is either active "Y" or inactive "N". Faculty members that are imported with a “N” flag, will automatically be deactivated. |
PictureURL | Yes | URL must be either fully qualified with domain name or a relative path that evaluates to a valid link on the target server. |
ForceInternal | Yes | Forces a record to internal authentication regardless of whether or not external authentication is setup. : Y/Yes or N/No/(empty) |
LocalPassword | No | Pre version 3.89: The value in this field will become the user’s default local password if the school is using internal authentication. This value can be up to 35 characters in length. Post version 3.89: For added security, users will be forced to set their own password the first time they log in. |
Program | Yes | The Program Name is the degree program of the student (undergraduate, professional, post-graduate, etc.). If no program is specified this field will default to the default program in the system. |
BirthDate | Yes | Birth Date in format: YYYYMMDD. Used to determine Age in some cases |
Course Load | Yes | Student course load. Point in time. Used for SETE |
Credits Earned | Yes | Student credits earned. Point in time. Used for SETE |
GPA | Yes | Student GPA. Point in time. Used for SETE |
Major | Yes | Student major |
StartDate | Yes | Start Date in format: YYYYMMDD. Start date can be used to determine years of service or years at institution |
StudentLevel | Yes | Student Level: e.g. Freshman, Sophomore, Doctoral |
GraduationYear | YES | NOTE: If the curriculum is "lock-Step" this is a required field. Year the student is expected to complete their coursework. For schools that do not have a ‘lock step’ curriculum, this field will mainly be used to separate groups of students. If the year of graduation cannot be known, it should be set at four years from the current year. |
