Navigate the Gradebook with JAWS

The gradebook has been designed to use table navigation.

Access the gradebook

Gradebook is a link at the course level. It can be accessed by using the links menu:

  1. Press Insert + F7 to call the links menu.

  2. Press the Up or Down Arrow key to Gradebook.

  3. Press Enter.

The gradebook is also in the Course Navigation region/landmark, and you can navigate to it through the region/landmarks menu:

  1. Press Insert + Control + R to call the region/landmarks menu.

  2. Press the Down Arrow key to Course Navigation.

  3. Press Enter.

  4. Press the Down Arrow key to Gradebook.

  5. Press Enter.

The gradebook can also be found under header level 1:

  1. Press Tab or the Down Arrow key until you reach Gradebook.

  2. Press Enter.

Navigate inside the gradebook

In the gradebook, press T to select the table and navigate with the Control + Alt + Arrow keys. Navigating this way will ensure that the headers of the columns are read while you are navigating.

Exit the gradeboook

To exit the gradebook and return to content, you must locate the Content link:

  1. Press Insert +F7 to call the links menu.

  2. Press the Up or Down Arrow key to Content.

  3. Press Enter.

  1. Press Insert + Control + R to call the region/landmarks menu.

  2. Press the Up or Down Arrow key to Course Navigation.

  3. Press Enter.

  4. Press the Up or Down Arrow key to Content.

  5. Press Enter.
