Understanding student learning requires more than reviewing a single term of assessment data. Longitudinal Reporting allows institutions to analyze outcome achievement across multiple reporting periods to identify trends, measure progress over time, and support evidence-based continuous improvement efforts. By reviewing both performance and assessment participation data, institutions can also evaluate the consistency and completeness of assessment collection across reporting periods.
Navigating to Longitudinal Reporting
Outcome reporting includes both Term and Longitudinal views within each outcome record.
The Term tab displays outcome data for an individual reporting period, consistent with previous reporting experiences.
The Longitudinal tab allows users to analyze outcome performance across multiple reporting periods over time.
Within the Longitudinal view, users can configure report settings to select one or more terms to include in the analysis. For example, institutions can compare outcome data collected across multiple academic years or terms within a single report.
Longitudinal reports provides visualizations of both:
In addition to the visualization the report provides a raw data breakdown across the academic years or terms within the report and the achievement percentages and counts at each level of the performance results scale.
