Jobs

The Jobs tab of the Reporting Framework Management Console, showing the Create Job button and the Status, Name, Description, Last Executed, Job Status, and Execution Duration (H:M:S) columns

The Jobs tab allows you to schedule previously saved report instances, see the status of scheduled jobs, and manage existing jobs.

Status

  • Enabled: the job will be executed according to its schedule.

  • Disabled: the job will not be scheduled, but you can still run it manually.

Type

  • Report: the entire report is transferred via email or sent to a configured location.

  • Notification: for each row in the report, an email is merged to a template and sent to a recipient.

Name

The name of the job.

Description

A short description of the job.

Last Executed

The last time the job was started.

Job Status

  • Not Run: the job has never been run.

  • Running: the job is currently running.

  • Failure: an error running the job prevented any type of notification from being delivered.

  • Complete with errors: the job ran, but there was an error during the process; the job process has several tasks and if any task fails, the notification will identify the steps that failed.

  • Success: the job was successfully run; when the job successfully runs via a scheduled instance, the last successful run date is updated.

  • Aborted: the job was shut down during processing; this only happens if a system event occurs that causes the application to stop working and these jobs will be started again at the next scheduled instance.

Execution Duration (H:M:S)

The time it took in hours, minutes, and seconds for the job to be completed.
