Email Allowlisting

To help ensure that emails from Anthology Milestone are delivered successfully, even with different spam filters on each campus, we use a third-party email service called Mailgun. Mailgun helps email systems recognize our messages as safe and gives our team tools to fix issues and keep things running smoothly.

Most campuses don’t need to do anything different to receive Milestone emails. But in some cases, a campus’s email system might block or filter our messages. If that happens, the campus IT team may need to allowlist our email servers.

Allowlisting tells the email system to always trust messages from a specific IP address or domain. While allowlisting is a common solution, it’s a basic method and should only be used if absolutely necessary, since it doesn’t follow the latest anti-spam best practices.

If your IT team needs our IP address or domain details to allowlist us, contact our support team.

Because every campus email system is different, we recommend testing Milestone emails first. You may not need to use allowlisting.
