Build Your Team

Identifying who will fulfill key roles at the institution is an essential step in successfully implementing Outcomes.

Roles are not exclusive—one individual may serve in multiple roles, and a single role may be shared by more than one person, depending on your institution’s goals and workflows.

Campus Implementation Team

  • Senior Supervisor: On-Campus Visionary for Outcomes Assessment and the use of Outcomes for Blackboard to gather and measure student learning.

Priority Owner: Decision-maker responsible for launch success. This individual will be integral in leading the institutional conversations around governance, alignment, ownership, and reporting that impact outcomes assessment.

  • Site Administrator: Go-to contact on campus for information about the tool. We recommend identifying 1–3 Site Administrators for Outcomes. After launch, the ongoing time commitment and support required from Site Administrators is significantly reduced. Learn more about Site Administrator Role.

  • IT Manager: Primary contact for technical questions and concerns.

  • Blackboard Administrator: LMS Administrator for Blackboard technical questions and concerns. Role's support will be integral in setting up the technical requirements for the tool and required data structures, including Institutional Hierarchy.

  • Early Adopters: Many institutions begin by implementing outcomes with a pilot group of early adopters before launching institution-wide, allowing them to learn, refine their approach, and demonstrate value early. Building champions for outcome measurement and the Outcomes tool will support wider adoption and training other adopters across the institution.
