Calendar Events Setup

Rest API Integration

**Calendar events must be configured by an authorized Blackboard Administrator user.

Log in to your Blackboard Learn account and navigate to the “Admin” page from the side panel navigation.

  1. Select “Rest API Integrations” found in the integrations panel.

  2. Select the “Create Integration” button on the screen.

  3. Replicate the information displayed below into the designated fields.

    Application ID = cb8e5790-3339-4c5b-a488-6ac8eb272420

    Learn User = This should be a Blackboard user with Admin privileges.

    End User Access = “Yes(no change) Authorized To Act As User = Service Default (No) (no change)

  4. Click “Submit

Submit a Support Ticket

Once you've completed the steps mentioned above, a member of our support team must enable the feature for your institution. To do so, please create a support ticket indicating your desire to enable calendar events and include your Blackboard Learn URL in the ticket details.

Launching the Tool

Once a member of our support team enables the feature, students may now begin to view calendar events for upcoming course evaluations!

Please note that it may take up to 12 hours for the system to display the event after it has been added to an administration. The feature includes both a start event, set to appear at the administration's opening time, and an end event, which displays one hour before its closure.

Calendar items created for Blackboard Learn courses will have an additional “Evaluate Home” link. Clicking on this link will show students their evaluations to take.
