Organization Management Center

The Manage Center provides a central place for organization managers to view organization activity, complete tasks, review notifications, and access organization management tools.

The Manage Center brings commonly used organization management activities together in one place, making it easier to see what needs attention and quickly access the tools needed to manage an organization.

Access the Manage Center

The Manage Center is available from the Manage item in the left-hand navigation in Engage.

Select Manage to open the Manage Center. The information and options displayed are based on the organization management permissions associated with the user's role.

Manage Center Overview

The Manage Center includes three main areas:

  • Tasks — Displays organization management activities that require attention.

  • Organizations at a Glance — Provides an overview of organizations and quick access to organization management tools.

  • Organization Notifications — Displays notifications related to the organizations being managed.

Tasks

The Tasks widget provides a centralized list of organization management activities that require action. Tasks from all organizations available to the organization manager are displayed together, making it easier to identify and complete outstanding work.

Tasks may include:

  • Re-registrations that are due

  • Memberships awaiting approval

  • Service hours awaiting approval

  • Form submissions ready for review

  • Finance requests requiring review

  • Events requiring review

Select a task to open the appropriate screen and complete the associated action.

Tasks are displayed based on the manager's permissions. For example, a user will only see tasks for actions they have permission to complete.

Organizations at a Glance

The Organizations at a Glance widget provides a snapshot of the organizations available to the organization manager.

Notifications can be filtered by organization and viewed as either unread or all notifications. From the widget, organization managers can also mark notifications as read or delete notifications that are no longer needed.

Changes made to notifications in the Manage Center are also reflected in the general notifications area in the Engage top navigation.

Organization Management Permissions

When a user has management access to multiple organizations, the Manage Center brings information and tasks for those organizations together in one place.

The Tasks widget provides a consolidated view of outstanding actions across managed organizations, while Organizations at a Glance provides a way to view information about individual organizations and access their management tools.

Organization Notifications can also be filtered by organization to help focus on notifications for a specific organization.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why don't I see an organization in the Manage Center?

The Manage Center only displays organizations for which the user has organization management access. If an organization is not displayed, the user's role may not include management access to that organization.

Why don't I see a particular task?

Tasks are based on the user's permissions and the activity requiring action. A task will only appear when there is an outstanding action and the user has permission to complete it.

Why don't I see Points, forms, events, or financial information for an organization?

The information displayed in Organizations at a Glance depends on the features being used by the organization and the user's permissions. Some information may not appear if the associated Engage tool is not enabled or if the user's role does not provide access.

Where can I find organization notifications?

Organization-related notifications are available in the Organization Notifications widget within the Manage Center. General Engage notifications remain available through the notifications area in the top navigation.

What happens when a notification is marked as read?

Marking a notification as read or deleting it from the Manage Center also updates that notification in the general Engage notifications area. Notification status remains synchronized between the two locations.
