Understanding the Ally Usage Report

The Usage report shows details about how your students and instructors are using Ally. Find out how often students download an alternative format and instructors fix accessibility issues.

Access the Usage Report

From the Ally Institutional accessibility report, select the Usage tab.

The Usage report tab. This shows the Alternative Formats view with filters applied, such as All courses and a date range. There's an option to download the report in the top right. The report has widgets across the top with key statistics, such as total course with downloads, total unique users, alternative formats views, and total downloads. Then there are widgets for data visualizations, a bar chart showing how many downloads per alternative format type as well as a line graph showing alternative formats usage over time.

Download a Usage Report

The download report is a spreadsheet that is split into five worksheets. Each worksheet has details related to a date range you pick.

  • Alternative Format Launches

  • Alternative Format Weekly

  • Instructor Feedback Launches

  • Instructor Feedback Weekly

  • Data

  1. From the Ally Institutional accessibility report, select the Usage tab.

  2. Choose a date range for the report.

  3. Select Download.

    Note

    You may not see data when you first open the report. The downloaded file may be protected. Enable editing to see the data.
