LMS Assessment Suggestions in Anthology Outcomes
Assessments are often used consistently over time and across multiple course sections to ensure the longitudinal measurement of learning outcomes for continuous improvement. To support users in easily identifying these assignments and saving time, we now provide smart suggestions! By utilizing LMS data, you will see clear indications of suggested assessments during the import process, making it easier to choose the right ones.
Not only are these suggestions now sorted to the top of the LMS assignment list and clearly indicated, but we have also provided insights into why the suggestion has been provided. No more unnecessary scrolling—quickly identify assessments!
Assessment Keywords
Quickly identify relevant assessments with commonly used assignment names (e.g., “Signature Assignment” or “Outcome Assessment”) for measuring learning outcomes.
Previous Term Use
Assignments that have been used over time to measure a learning outcome will now provide a suggestion and a count of instances the assignment has been used. This helps ensure you select assignments that have proven effective in the past.
Section-Level Suggestions
If an assessment has been used in other sections of the same course for that outcome, this will be indicated as well. For example, if English 101 has multiple sections and an assessment has been used in one or more of these sections for a specific outcome, this information will be indicated along with the number of times it has been used.

Rubric Criteria Aggregation
Blackboard users will receive suggestions when aggregating by rubric criteria. If a rubric criterion was previously used to measure the learning outcome, it will be highlighted, making it easier to maintain consistency and reliability in assessments.
Criteria & Outcome Match
To support users who utilize rubrics for measuring learning outcomes, Outcomes will now highlight when a rubric criterion matches the learning outcome. For instance, when measuring a Critical Thinking outcome, if there is a rubric criterion named Critical Thinking, it will be suggested.
Previous Term Use
Rubric criteria that have been used over time to measure a learning outcome will now provide both a suggestion and a count of instances they have been used. This ensures that effective criteria are consistently applied.
Section-Level Suggestions
Rubric criteria will indicate when they have been used in other sections of the same course for that outcome. For example, if the criterion “Critical Thinking” has been used in other sections of English 101 during the same term, this will be suggested.
