Improved Learning Outcome Taxonomy Experience

Redesigned Experience

We’ve improved the user experience for Outcomes Taxonomy—making it clearer, more intuitive, and easier to navigate. This update enhances the learning design experience by surfacing Bloom’s Taxonomy insights, helping faculty understand the cognitive level of each outcome—whether it asks students to recall, apply, analyze, or create. This supports deeper student understanding, cognitive growth, and achievement.

A chart of Course Outcomes distributions in Taxonomy, showing 33.3% percent distributions in Evaluate, Synthesize, and Analyze. There are also areas for frequency, breakdown, and observations.

Improved visualizations identify outcome statements that are unmeasurable or uncategorized in Bloom’s, enabling more intentional design of assessments and learning activities that align with the intended skills and outcomes.

Enhanced Access to Outcome Taxonomy

Now users, not only administrators, can now view the Outcomes Taxonomy for any levels they have access to—empowering broader collaboration in designing aligned assessments and instructional strategies. With this update, faculty can better navigate the taxonomy to inform instructional choices, support growth, and contribute to a stronger culture of learning and assessment.
