Course Summary Report
The Course Summary report is a holistic report about a single course that provides insight into student and instructor behavior in a course.
Some terminology used within the report can be expanded in our Glossary.

Use Controls
You can use the Controls section to filter and refine the data shown in each report tab based on your needs. Each tab has a specific set of controls or filters you can use. You can always go back and reset your controls.

Provides high level statistics about the course and metadata:

Class size
Submissions vs. grading turnaround time
Alternative formats usage
Student Engagement and Performance tab
Provides information about how students are engaging with the course and how students’ performance on grades correlates with time spent in the course or type of activity:
Learning accommodations in the course
Time spent in course per week
Top course item types by interactions and contributions
Student engagement with course content
Student performance (grades) vs. activity (interactions)
Student engagement and performance per student
Instructional Practice tab
Provides a detailed view of the instructional practices in a specific course based on the course design, Instructor-Student engagement, and student success:
Time spent in course per week
Instructor-Student engagement ratio
Instructors grading time
Engagement per instructor
Course Design tab
Provides an understanding of how this course has been designed based on the item types used and their usage over time:
