The Learning Tool Activity and Use report helps you understand and answer:

  • User Activity

    • What’s the number of distinct users?

      What’s the number of distinct users by role?

    • What’s the weekly average distribution of distinct users?

    • What’s the number of distinct users by date?

    • What’s the total course tool activity in minutes?

    • What’s the weekly average distribution of total course tool activity?

    • What’s the total course tool activity in minutes by date?

  • Course Activity

    • How many active and available courses use learning tools?

Use Controls

You can use the Controls section to filter and refine the data shown in each report tab based on your needs. Each tab has a specific set of controls or filters you can use. You can always go back and reset your controls.

User Activity

What’s the number of distinct users?

This KPI shows the number of unique users of learning tools in your institution.

  • The percent difference is given by the difference in unique learning tools users on the Primary Date Range and Comparison Date Range you’ve selected.

  • DIV/0: There is no data available for the selected Comparison Date Range.

What’s the number of distinct users by role?

The number of distinct users by role shows the top 5 roles that have accessed learning tools.

  • Additional roles are grouped in Other.

  • If you filter by one of the top 5 roles, the graph will highlight that role’s data.

What’s the weekly average distribution of distinct users?

The weekly average distribution of distinct users measures the number of learning tools each day over a week.

  • The data shows the daily average for the Primary Date Range you’ve selected.

  • For example, Sunday shows the average of every Sunday within the Primary Date Range you’ve selected.

  • By default, the data shows the last 30 days.

What’s the number of distinct users by date?

This line graph shows the number of unique users that have accessed learning tools by date.

What’s the total course tool activity in minutes?

This KPI shows the total number of minutes users engaged with course tools.

  • The percent difference is given by the difference in total number of minutes users engaged with course tools on the Primary Date Range and Comparison Date Range you’ve selected.

  • DIV/0: There is no data available for the Comparison Date Range you’ve selected.

What’s the weekly average distribution of total course tool activity?

The weekly average distribution of total course tool activity measures the average number of minutes users engaged with course tools over a week.

  • The data shows the daily average for the Primary Date Range you’ve selected.

  • For example, Sunday shows the average of every Sunday within the primary date range you’ve selected.

  • By default, the data shows the last 30 days.

What’s the total course tool activity in minutes by date?

The average number of minutes unique users engaged with course tools by date.

How many active and available courses use learning tools?

This donut chart shows the number of active and avaiable courses that user learning tools.
