Enhancement Spotlight: Giving Microsite Builder

Following its Beta release to early adopters last month, the Giving Microsite Builder is now available to all Encompass clients. The builder provides a guided, self-service experience for creating and publishing branded giving microsites without requiring custom design or development work. Administrators can use ready-to-use templates, flexible content and branding controls, and integrated campaign components to launch engaging giving experiences more quickly.

  • Guided microsite creation: Create and publish giving microsites through a streamlined setup experience designed to reduce the time and effort required to launch a campaign.

  • Ready-to-use template: Start with an out-of-the-box Giving Microsite template and customize it to support your organization’s campaign needs.

  • Flexible branding and content: Customize colors, titles, images, page content, and other visual elements to provide a consistent, branded donor experience.

  • Drag-and-drop page building: Add, arrange, and update content using an intuitive page-building experience with drag-and-drop layouts and inline content editing.

  • Configurable engagement components: Encourage participation with progress indicators, donor recognition, leaderboards, maps, countdowns, and other campaign-focused content.

  • Integrated campaign progress: Connect the microsite to a primary donation form so applicable donation activity and campaign progress are reflected automatically.

  • Page and microsite cloning: Copy existing pages or microsites to create new campaign experiences more efficiently while preserving reusable content and configuration.

  • Self-service campaign management: Create, configure, publish, unpublish, and update giving campaigns without relying on design or development resources for routine changes.

The Giving Microsite Builder introduces a modern administrative experience that helps institutions launch branded Day of Giving and other fundraising campaigns faster, manage campaign content more independently, and provide donors with a cohesive and engaging giving experience.

Accessibility Improvements

This release improves accessibility by preventing automatic designation selection during keyboard navigation.

WCAG 3.2.2: Eliminate Unexpected Context Changes in Designation Selection

Updated designation radio button keyboard behavior to meet WCAG 3.2.2 (On Input) requirements by preventing automatic selection and pop-up activation when navigating options with arrow keys. The "Other" designation dialog now opens only after the user explicitly selects the option, eliminating unexpected context changes during keyboard navigation.

The Spam Opt-Out Report displayed spam opt-out entries with the email name shown as "N/A" instead of the associated email address.

Multiple UI issues were observed on the Email Reporting page. The selected campaign order was not preserved in the metrics section and was instead displayed based on the most recently released campaign. Formatting and layout inconsistencies were present, including incorrect styling of the Selected Campaigns count and message, insufficient spacing between sections, excessive row height for campaign records, and unclear checkbox states.

Email

532513

Fixed an issue where campaigns in the comparison line graph were displayed by release date rather than the order selected by the user. The graph now reflects the selected campaign order. Also corrected a visual issue where checkboxes displayed duplicate focus outlines when selected.

When a donation form URL with a pre-population token appended (for example, &amount=##tokenname##) was linked to a button in an email, the pre-population popup was not displayed upon clicking the button. The same URL functioned correctly when linked as standard text, and the pre-population popup was generated as expected.

Email

Email reporting metrics for CA sites displayed inconsistent open statistics, with Unique Opens exceeding Delivered counts.

Security

534381

Fixed an issue where security sanitization unintentionally removed valid HTML from CPI patterns, limiting design control and removing screen-reader text. Creating or editing CPIs now preserves supported HTML, formatting, and accessibility markup while continuing to sanitize scripts for security.

The Constituent Engagement search did not support partial substring matching.

Directory Search Results did not fully respect profile privacy settings, allowing hidden member information to be exposed or inferred through search results and search criteria. This created a privacy and data disclosure risk for members who had chosen to hide specific profile fields.
