Constituent Email Engagement Reporting FAQ
Does the report show engagement for only one email?
No. The report aggregates applicable activity across multiple emails within the selected date range. To review the performance or recipients of a specific email, use the existing individual email reporting experience.
Does each row represent an email or a constituent?
Each row represents a constituent. The engagement values summarize that constituent's applicable activity across emails included in the selected date range.
Why might a constituent have deliveries but no opens or clicks?
The messages may have been delivered without recorded interaction. Open tracking can also be limited by an email client's privacy or image-loading settings. A zero does not necessarily prove that the recipient did not read the message.
Why are unique totals different from total activity?
Unique totals remove applicable repeat activity according to Email Reporting's engagement-counting rules. Total activity may include repeated actions, such as clicking tracked links more than once.
Can I use this report to find the most or least engaged constituents?
Yes. Sort the report by an engagement column, such as Total Unique Clicks, Total Unique Opens, or Total Emails Delivered. Remember that email engagement is one part of a constituent's overall relationship with the institution.
Does search apply only to the current page?
No. Search applies to the complete filtered result set for the selected date range and community context.
Will the report include activity from every community?
The report follows your current community context and administrative permissions. From GID1, the all-subcommunities option may be used when available. Activity from unauthorized communities is not included.
Can I change which columns appear?
Yes. Use the column selection control to add or remove available fields. At least one column must remain visible, and Reset restores the standard default columns.
Can I export the report?
Export is not included in the initial Constituent Engagement Report experience.
