Assignment Manager
Assignment manager works with faculty member assignments, validates loads, and generates pay. You can use the Assignment Manager page to:
-
Work with faculty member assignments. For example, you can add non-teaching assignments and edit non-teaching and teaching assignments.
- View the load types for assignments and validate the loads using the load validation policies associated with the faculty members
-
Work with pay. For example, you can generate, confirm, and export earning lines to import them into your payroll system. You can also view existing earning lines.
-
Convert overloads to banked loads as partial or total assigned loads.
-
Split load types for assignments.
Once you have filtered the records, Anthology Student displays a list of assignments for faculty members. For example, if more than one faculty member is assigned to a class, there is a record for each faculty member.
If you select All or Teaching for Teaching/Non-Teaching in the filters, Anthology Student lists the teaching activities (classes) your institution assigned to faculty members using the Class Scheduling workspace. (Select the Class Scheduling tile.)
You can filter the assignments by selecting particular Departments using the Department filter.
When using Faculty Workload Management, on save of the class section in Class Scheduling and Non-Teaching activity in configurations, the default position for each faculty based on the term configured will be assigned for the teaching and non-teaching assignments. This is used for the assignment load validation in:
-
Load Validations (Select the Processes tile > locate Faculty Workload > select Load Validations.)
-
Assignment Manager (Select the Processes tile > locate Faculty Workload > select Assignment Manager.)
If no default position is assigned, Anthology Student will display a blank position and the record cannot be processed by the Batch Processing Load Validations until a position is assigned.
In the Class Scheduling workspace, you can use the Copy Class Schedule button to copy:
-
All Class Sections to Term
-
Single Class Section
-
Selected Class Section
Anthology Student creates these class sections as assignments for the respective faculty member. The assignment created is displayed on the Assignment Manager page.
If Anthology Student is integrated with an external human resources (HR) and payroll system (for example, Anthology Finance & HCM or any third-party HR and payroll application), you must use Anthology Student to manage the items (such as generating or exporting earning lines, and so on).
