Delete Assignments for Non-Teaching Activities

You can use the Assignment Manager page to delete assignments for non-teaching activities. Deleting an item permanently removes it. No record of deleted list items is maintained in Anthology Student.

Access Method

Select the Processes tile > locate Faculty Workload > select Assignment Manager.

Procedure to Delete an Assignment

  1. Select the record for a non-teaching assignment.

  2. Select the Assignment Actions menu > Delete. Anthology Student displays the confirmation dialog.

    • If Enable Load Banking is set to No, the dialog message is:

Do you want to delete the assignment records?

    • If Enable Load Banking is set to Yes, the dialog message is:

Do you want to delete the assignment records? Any assigned load, overload, or banked load, will be deleted with the action.

  3. In the dialog, select the Delete button.

Anthology Student removes the assignment record from the grid. If the record is for a teaching assignment, it cannot be deleted.

Implications of Deleting Assignments With Banked Loads

If you delete an assignment record with a banked load that is validated and has created a banked load, any assigned load, overload, or banked load will be deleted.

If you delete a class section from the Class Scheduling tile in a validated state (but not finalized or confirmed/exported), the banked load will be deleted as well.

If you delete an assignment created from an applied bank load, the load will be returned to the bank as long as the banked load has not expired. If the banked load has expired, the assignment cannot be deleted. You will receive a message indicating that the banked load has expired and cannot be returned to the bank.
