This topic lists some of the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) while working with Anthology Finance & HCM.

  1. View the required Number sequence code in the Number sequence page .

  2. In the Number sequence > Administration menu, click the Manual cleanup option.

  1. Navigate to Modules > System administration > Inquiries > Batch jobs.
  2. From the list of batch jobs, select the required batch job. and click Recurrence from the menu option.

  3. Click Recurrence from the Batch job menu option.

    The Define recurrence page is displayed.

  4. Specify values in the fields based on the requirement to set the recurrence for the batch job and click OK.

  1. Log on to Anthology Finance & HCM with the System administrator user role.
  2. Navigate to Modules > Organization administration > Organizations > Legal entities.

  3. On the left pane, select the legal entity for which you want to update the banner or logo and expand the Dashboard image Fast Tab.

  4. In the Dashboard company image type field, click the edit icon and select banner or logo from the drop-down list.

  5. Click the Change link.
  6. In the Select image file to upload page, click Browse button and upload an image.
  7. Click Save.

The financial dimensions combination fields can be split into separate fields using the Split dimensions batch job available in the Financial reporting parameters page (under Student accounting > Setup > Reports parameters).

Use the following steps to split the financial dimensions combination:

  1. Navigate to Financial reporting parameters page (under Student accounting > Setup > Reports parameters).

  2. In the DIMENSION SPLITS section, assign each Financial dimension name to a column number as shown in the image above.

  3. Click Split Dimensions button.

  4. The Split dimensions batch job page is displayed.

  5. In the Synchronization type field, select Full and click OK.

    Note: Select Full in the Synchronization type field when the Split dimensions batch job is run for the first time, and every time the dimensions are updated in the Dimensions Split section. After the Split dimensions batch job has been already run and the dimensions were not updated tin the Dimensions Split section, select Incremental in the Synchronization type field.

    The Financial Dimensions are split based on the configurations in the Financial reporting parameters page, and saved in the Dimension combination split entity.

Using the 'Dimension combination split' entity for Reporting and Auditing

You can use the Dimension combination split read-only data entity to expose or export the Financial dimensions data using the following two options:

  • As an OData end point for PowerBI reporting or through BYOD (Bring Your Own Database).

  • Directly export ledger transactions data using the Data Import and Export Framework (DIXF).

You can use the Ledger transactions read-only data entity to expose or export the ledger transactions data using the following two options:

  • As an OData end point for PowerBI reporting or through BYOD (Bring Your Own Database).

  • Directly export ledger transactions data using the Data Import and Export Framework (DIXF).

Tip
Sometimes, a newly created entity cannot be found in the entities list. To view the entity, perform an entity refresh from the Data import/export framework parameters page using the following steps:

  1. In the Data management page > click the Framework parameters tile.

  2. In the Data import/export framework parameters page, click Entity settings > Refresh entity list.

When Anthology Finance & HCM is integrated with Anthology Student, on Release to General Ledger of student transactions, the following address information is sent to Anthology Finance & HCM:

  • By default, the address information in the Student master is sent from Anthology Student to Anthology Finance & HCM.

  • For refund and stipend transactions the payee address selected in Anthology Student is sent to Anthology Finance & HCM.

    By default, the parent address is sent from the Student master if the borrower information is not available in the awards form in Anthology Student

    Important: If a student had requested to send the refund or stipend checks to a specific payee type, the required payee address must be selected in Anthology Student before releasing the student transactions to Anthology Finance & HCM.

Note:

  • After a student record is sent to Anthology Finance & HCM, if the student address information is updated in Anthology Student, the updated student address from the Student master is sent to Anthology Finance & HCM when the Release to General Ledger process is run.

  • If the address information for a student is updated in Anthology Finance & HCM, the updated address is not sent to Anthology Student.
