Benefit Accruals From an External System Tab

The Benefit accruals from an external system tab in a pay statement is displayed when the Enable integration with external systems option is set to Yes in the External Systems Integration Parameters Page (under Human resources > Integration with external systems > Setup).

For an employee in Anthology Finance & HCM, when the accrual lines are received from an external system, the accrual lines displayed in the Accrual Lines From External Systems Page is used to calculate the accrual balance (accrued hours and used hours) for a pay period.

The accrual balance for an employee is displayed in the Benefit accruals from an external system tab, when

  • the earning lines for the employee is released and the pay statement is submitted, and

  • the Enable processing of accrual data for payroll isYes in the External Systems Integration Parameters Page (under Human resources > Integration with external systems > Setup).

If the Summarize and use pay period end date option is configured in the Payroll parameters page (under Payroll > Setup > Parameters), the accruals data in the Benefit accruals from an external system tab is displayed in a summarized format.

Note:

  • Pay statements where the Benefit accruals from an external system tab is empty, a note with the reason to proceed with the payment generation without accruals data is displayed. This note is added while reviewing the availability of accruals data for a pay period of the employee in the selected earning lines in the Earning Lines From External Systems Page.

  • If a pay statement is reversed

Click Modules > Payroll > Pay statements > All pay statements, click on a Pay statement number from the list.

Field

Description

Benefit accrual plan The unique ID of the benefit accrual plan.
Amount accrued The amount of hours added for the worker based on the period in the pay statement.

It is the sum of the Period accrued values from the accrual lines associated with a pay period for an employee in the Accrual Lines From External Systems Page.

Amount used The amount of hours used by the worker based on the period in the pay statement.

It is the sum of the Period used values from the accrual lines associated with a pay period for an employee in the Accrual Lines From External Systems Page.

Plan year accrued The amount of hours added to the plan for the worker since the start of the current plan year.

It is the value on the last day of the pay period for a Benefit accrual plan in the Plan year accrued column from the accrual lines for an employee in the Accrual Lines From External Systems Page.

Plan year used The amount of hours used by the worker from the plan since the start of the current plan year.

It is the value on the last day of the pay period for a Benefit accrual plan in the Plan year used column from the accrual lines for an employee in the Accrual Lines From External Systems Page.

Available The balance hours that is available for the worker to use.

It is the value on the last day of the pay period for a Benefit accrual plan in the Available column from the accrual lines for an employee in the Accrual Lines From External Systems Page.
