Add Earning Lines for Federal Work Study Earnings
In some scenarios, institutions may need to manually add earning lines in the earning statement of a worker. This topic outlines the steps to add an earning line for a Federal Work Study position of a worker with student role.
Note: Users performing this task must have the System administrator/CMC: Federal work study administrator role.
Prerequisites

Run theUpdate Data for Federal Work Study Payroll Batch Job (under Human resources > Setup > Integration with external systems > Update data for federal work study payroll) to ensure latest values are populated for the fields in the Earning statement header section in the Federal Work Study Earning Statements page.

The worker should be assigned to an active Federal Work Study award in theStudent Awards Page and the award should be in the Approved status.

Default earning code associated with the Federal Work Study award is configured for the Position in the Federal Work Study Payroll Tab.
Adding Earning Lines for Federal Work Study Earnings
You can add earning lines for a Federal Work Study earning lines using the following steps:

Select the required Legal entity.

Navigate to the Federal Work Study earning statements page (under Student accounting > Federal work study > Federal work study earning statements).

Click the required earning statement number.

In the Federal work study earnings page, in the Earning statement lines section, click Add line.

Specify valid values for the earning line record.

Click Save.
The earning line record is created for the selected earning statement.
