Lead is a Team object, and comprises the following tabs:

Properties Tab

The Properties tab contains system properties. It also contains custom properties created for the Lead object.

A unique identifier for the lead

External SIS ID

A unique identifier for the corresponding Lead in the SIS.

Name *

The name of the Lead. This is a free text field. Maximum number of characters: 255.

Campus *

The name of the Campus to which the Lead belongs.

Cannot be edited or deleted.

Team *

The name of the Team to which the Lead belongs.

Cannot be edited or deleted.

Owner

The User who creates the Lead.

 

Cannot be edited or deleted.

SSN

The Social Security Number of the Lead.

Created On

The date and time when the Lead was created.

Cannot be edited or deleted.

Last Updated

The date and time when the Lead was last updated.

Link to Contact

The Contact associated with the Lead.

Link to Enrollment

The Enrollment associated with the Lead.

Pipeline *

The mode of admission of the Lead.

This Property can have one of the following default values:

•   OnGround Admissions

•   Online Admissions

You can specify custom values for this Property.

Stage *

The levels of the Lead’s progress in the Lead’s admission cycle.

Phone

The primary telephone number of the Lead.

Time Zone

The time zone in which the Lead is located.

Integration flag

Indicates whether information about the Lead is sent to the SIS. The Integration flag can have one of the following values depending on the type of integration:

Not Integrated - Indicates that the Lead item is not integrated with SIS.

It is the default value.

Integrated - Indicates that the Lead item is integrated with a Student record in the SIS.

Application Integrated - Indicates that the Lead item is integrated with the corresponding Application record in the SIS.

Inquiry Integrated - Indicates that the Lead item is integrated with the corresponding Inquiry record in the SIS.

Note:

This Property is not displayed in Desktop Client.

Hispanic/Latino

Indicates whether the Lead is of Hispanic or Latin ethnic origin.

This Property can have one of the following values:

  • Yes: indicates that the Lead is of Hispanic or Latin ethnic origin.

  • No: indicates that the Lead is not of Hispanic or Latin ethnic origin.

Citizen

Indicates the citizenship of the Lead. For example, Non Resident.

Nationality

Indicates the nationality of the Lead. For example, American.

Disabled

Indicates the disability status of the Lead. This Property can have one of the following values:

Unspecified: Indicates that the disability status of the Lead is not specified.

Yes: Indicates that the Lead has some form of disability.

No: Indicates that the Lead does not have any disability.

By default, this Property is blank.

High school academic GPA

Indicates the Lead’s academic grade point average in high school. This is a number type of Property that supports decimal values. For example, 3.5.

SIS Owner

Indicates the SIS User associated with the Lead.

Send Email

Indicates whether email messages can be sent to leads. By default, the value of this Property is Yes.

Its value is changed to No in the following scenarios:

•   Scenario 1:If the lead opts not to receive email messages by clicking an unsubscribe link in an email.

•   Scenario 2: By communicating through other media with the user that email messages must no longer be sent.

In scenario 1, the value of the associated contact's Send Email property changes to No. This value is then inherited in all leads associated with the contact.

In scenario 2, the user changes the value of the lead's Send Email property to No. This value is then inherited in the associated contact and any other leads associated with the contact.

Note

The property's default inheritance is defined in the property inheritance framework. For information on changing this default inheritance behavior, see Predefined Properties Inheritance maps.

External SIS Applicant ID

A unique identifier of the corresponding Applicant record in the SIS.

External SIS Inquiry ID

A unique identifier of the corresponding Inquiry record in the SIS.

Send SMS

Indicates whether SMS messages can be sent to Leads. By default, the value of this Property is set to No. If a mobile number is specified in the Mobile field for a Lead, the value of the Send SMS Property automatically changes to Yes.

You cannot send SMS messages to Leads for whom this value is set to No, even if you select such Leads to be the recipients of SMS messages.

Note

SMS Mailers are sent to Leads in a Campaign regardless of the value of this Property. To ensure that the Mailer is sent only to leads whose Send SMS Property is set to Yes, you must define an appropriate Filter at the relevant Connector before the Send SMS Action node.

Cannot be edited or deleted.

Double Opt-In(SMS)

This Property can have one of the following values:

  • Yes: Indicates that the Lead has confirmed or Opted-In to receive SMS messages from the institution.

  • No: Indicates that the Lead has Opted-Out from receiving SMS messages from the institution.

By default, it is blank.

This Property is read-only and its value is determined by various scenarios.

Cannot be edited or deleted.

 

Address(Group)

The group of Properties that comprise the address information for the Lead. These Properties are free text fields in which you can type a maximum of 255 characters.

The address of the Lead.

Primary phone

The phone used by the Lead. This Property can have one of the following values:

•   Phone

•   Phone1

•   Phone2

•   Mobile

Phone 1

The first phone number of the Lead.

Phone 2

The alternate phone number of the Lead.

Phone 2 extension

The extension of the alternate phone number.

Mobile

The mobile phone number of the Lead.

Fax

The fax number of the Lead.

Area of Study

The course which the Lead has selected. For example, Legal Studies, or Child Psychology.

Program Information

This group of Properties comprises the Program information of the Lead.

Area of Interest

The specialization in which the Lead is interested.

Example: Culinary arts, or Psychology.

Program

The Program for which the Lead enrolls.

Example: Business Law, or Arts.

Program Version

The version of the Program in which the Lead is interested. For example, an MBA in Finance. The Program Version is Finance.

Program Version Start Date

The start date of the version of the Program.

Shift

The shift in which the Lead is interested to pursue the course. For example, All Day, or Evening.

Program Level

The Program Level of the Program the Lead wishes to pursue. For example, Certificate, or Diploma.

Expected start date

The date when the course is expected to start.

Expected Start Term

Estimated date of the commencement of the Term.

Application received date

The date when the Application is received from a student.

Enrollment date

The date when the student is enrolled.

Midpoint date

The midpoint date of a Program for the student.

Note

The date specified in this field should be later than the Expected start date Property and earlier than the Expected graduation date Property.

Expected graduation date

The date when a Program ends for the student.

Note

The date specified in this field should not be earlier than the date specified in the Expected start date and Midpoint date Properties.

Enrollment status

Enumerated values indicating the status of the Enrollment. Following are some of the values that can be configured for this Property:

•   Full Time

•   Half Time

•   Less than half time

•   3/4 Time

Note

The values configured for this Property and the Enrollment status Property of the Enrollment Object must be same.

Billing method

Enumerated values indicating the method of billing.

Applicant type

Enumerated values indicating the type of Applicant applying for admission. For example, if the Applicant chooses to apply online, this Applicant is categorized as Online Applicant.

Note

The values configured for this Property and the Applicant type Property of the Enrollment Object must be same.

Comment

Comments typed by the admission representative.

Admissions representative

The name of the admission representative.

This Property can be hidden.

If no value is specified for this Property, the value of the SIS owner Property is set by default.

Note

If the value of the SIS owner Property is changed later, the value of the Admissions representative will not be updated automatically.

Contact Properties

The group of Properties comprises information about the Contact associated with the Lead.

School Status

The equivalent representation of Stage Property of the Lead. This value is updated as a result of database synchronization with the SIS.

Student number

The unique identification number of the student.

First name

The first name of the Contact. This name is used when searching for Contacts, and in Filters.

Middle name

The middle name of the Contact.

Last name

The last name of the Contact.

Suffix

The suffix added to the Contact‘s name.

Nickname

The nickname of the Contact.

Maiden name

The maiden name of the Contact.

E-mail *

The Contact’s e-mail address. This email address is used to track Messages from the Lead, and threads the Messages into an Interaction.

Secondary e-mail address

The alternate e-mail address of the Contact.

Gender

The gender of the Contact.

Date of birth

The date of birth of the Contact.

Marital status

The marital status of the Contact.

Veteran

Indicates whether the Contact is a veteran.

Student ID

The ID of the Contact’s corresponding student record created in the SIS.

Preferred name

The preferred name of the Lead.

Lead Information

This group of Properties comprises general information about the Lead.

Education Level

The Lead’s previous education level. For example, High School, or Masters.

Lead Source

The source from where information about the Lead is obtained. For example, Radio, Internet Advertisement.

Account source

The Account from which the Lead information is obtained.

Lead category

Indicates the category of the Lead Source. For example, High School, or College.

Lead Type

Indicates the background of the Lead. For example, Walk in, or Referral.

Extra-curricular

Any extra-curricular activity performed by the Lead outside the realm of the normal curriculum of education.

Method of contact

The medium of communication used to communicate with the Lead. For example, Phone, e-mail, letter, or fax.

Rating

Indicates the grade of the Lead.

Campus type

Campus to which the Lead belongs.

Duplicate

This property can have one of the following values:

  • Yes: indicates the Lead record exists in the system.

  • No: indicates the Lead record does not exist in the system.

Invalid

This property can have one of the following values:

  • Yes: indicates that mandatory properties are not filled for the Lead.

  • No: indicates that mandatory properties are filled for the Lead.

Disqualified

This property can have one of the following values:

  • Yes: indicates that the Lead is disqualified for the Program.

  • No: indicates that the Lead is qualified for the Program.

Reason for disqualification

The reason for the Lead being disqualified.

Currently in the Military

Indicates whether the Lead is currently serving in the military.

Original Lead

This Property will be blank if the Lead is original. For duplicate Leads, the value specified in the Name Property of the original Lead will be updated in this Property.

Application Name

Name of the Application that the Lead is associated with.

Non-immigrant Student Tab

In addition to values of Properties in the Properties tab of the Contact, values of Properties in this tab will also be sent to the SIS using the functionality of the Outgoing Queue Object when the CRM and SIS databases are synchronized. Further, changes to corresponding fields of the Non-immigrant Student tab in the SIS will be updated in CampusNexus CRM as a result of Incoming Queue items that are created.

The functionality of the Update type column in the Contact-to-Lead and Lead-to-Contact Properties Inheritance Maps is also applicable to properties in the Non-immigrant Student tab.

The Student and Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS) ID.

This is an eleven-character identifier assigned to the Lead by the United States Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS).

Student Information (Group)

Visa type

Indicates the types of visas used for SEVIS processing. This Property can have one of the following values:

•   F1

•   J1

•   M1

Values in this Property will be available for selection after CampusNexus CRM is synchronized with the SIS database.

 

ITIN / Tax ID

The ID issued to the Lead by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS).

 

City of birth

The city in which the Lead was born.

 

Country of citizenship

The country of citizenship of the Lead.

 

Student DSO / RO

The Designated School Official (DSO) or Responsible Officer (RO) of the Lead.

Values in this Property will be available for selection after the two databases are synchronized.

 

International advisor

The Lead’s international advisor from staff members in the International Advisors group.

Proof of adequate health insurance submitted

Indicates whether proof of adequate health insurance is submitted.

This Property can have one of the following values:

  • Yes: Indicates that the Lead has submitted proof of adequate health insurance.

  • No: indicates that the Lead has not submitted proof of adequate health insurance.

Note

This Property must be updated only for Leads with a J1 visa.

 

Health provider

The health insurance provider of the Lead.

 

Health insurance end date

The date when the Lead’s health insurance ends.

 

F1 / M1 Data (Group)

Transfer from

The university or location from where the Lead has been transferred.

 

F1 / M1 Data - Country of birth

The country of birth of the Lead.

 

Commuter

Indicates whether the Lead commutes to the class room. Select Yes or No.

 

F1 / M1 Data - Last permanent resident country

The last country in which the Lead was a permanent resident.

 

Criminal conviction

Indicates whether the Lead was convicted as a criminal. Select Yes or No.

Number

The number of the I - 94 form of the Contact.

 

D/S indicator

Indicates whether the duration of stay (D/S) has been specified in the I - 94 form. Select Yes or No.

 

Date of entry

The date of the Lead’s entry into the United States of America as specified in the I - 94 form.

 

Expiration date

The date of expiry of the I - 94 form.

 

Port of entry

The port of entry of the Lead into the United States of America.

 

History Tab

This tab displays all events in the history of the Lead. For example, actions such as property change or categorization are recorded as events. For a new Lead, this tab is always blank.

Categories Tab

This tab lists the categories created for the Lead object. From this tab, you can categorize the Lead by selecting one or more categories.

Test Scores Tab

This tab lists the Test Score items associated with the Lead.

Document Status Tab

This tab lists the Document Status items associated with the Lead.

Ethnic Groups Tab

This tab lists the Ethnic Group items associated with the Lead.

Pronouns Tab

This tab lists Pronoun items associated with the Lead.

Assignment Logs Tab

This tab displays the actions carried out on the Lead when the Stage Owner, Team, and School Status properties are updated.

Note 

Only Users with the System Administration or Business Administration Permissions can view the Assignment Log tab in the Lead Item View, and create Assignment Log object items for a lead.

Interactions Tab

This tab displays the Interactions associated with the Lead. For information about the properties displayed in this tab, see Interaction Tabs and Properties.

Activities Tab

This tab presents a unified view of Interactions associated with the Lead. When you double-click an Activity, the child Interaction item opens in its window.

Duplicate Leads Tab

For original Leads, details of duplicate Leads will be listed in this tab. For duplicate Leads, this tab will be blank, and will be read-only.

Previous Education Tab

This tab lists Previous Education details of the Lead.

Calendar Events Tab

The Calendar Events tab displays details of Calendar Events that are sent to attendees. For a new Object record, this tab is always blank. The following table describes the Properties displayed in this tab:

Property Description
Calendar Event ID A unique identifier of the Calendar Event. The value for this Property is automatically generated.
Calendar Event Name The name of the Calendar Event. This value is typed by the user in the Name field of the Add Calendar Event dialog box.
Start Date / Time The date and time when the Calendar Event starts.
End Date / Time The date and time when the calendar event ends.
Time Zone The time zone that is selected for the Calendar Event.
Location Details of the location of the Calendar Event.
