About Contacts

A contact is a student in a higher education institution and is the primary constituent on which Anthology Reach is based. Operations in Anthology Reach revolve around managing activities of the contact’s progress in the institution.

Student engagement starts from recruitment and extends up to managing alumni relationships. In this scenario, the contact can play multiple roles, participate in various activities, and have several interactions with the institution. A contact can play these roles concurrently, i.e., be a prospect of a particular program, a current student, a teaching assistant (employee), an alumni and/or staff member, etc.

Institutions need a contact's information consolidated and summarized in a single location so that they can access it easily and take appropriate action. The contact management module enables an institution to effectively manage the relationship with a constituent and its affiliations by providing a 360 degree view of a contact.

About Inbound Interests and Lifecycle Records

Contacts are associated with items of other entities when the contact satisfies business logic defined by the institution. For instance, an inbound interest record is created when the contact demonstrates intent to seek admission into the institution. At this point, the contact’s interests are recorded and stored as an inbound interest record.

In addition, an administrator manages the stages of a lifecycle which includes moving a contact through the student lifecycle from prospect through to alumni. This process can be customized to an institution's requirements.

Inbound interest records can be manually qualified as lifecycle records, or a lifecycle record can also be created independently without being associated with an inbound interest.
