Properties Tab

The Properties tab contains system Properties. It also contains custom Properties created for the Contact Object. Values for these Properties are set in Desktop Client.

Language of the Interactions exchanged with the Contact. By default, the value for this Property is set to English. You can reset the language.

The value set for this Property is used to send automated e-mail messages to the Contact.

Default e-mail character set

By default, this Character Set is used for email messages with a blank Character Set, received from this Contact. This Property is applicable if you have selected the option to receive e-mail messages with blank a Character Set in the Inbox Workspace.

Further, this Character Set is used for outgoing e-mail messages to the Contact. If the Property is incompatible with the content of the e-mail message that is sent or if the Property is blank, the Character Set specified in the registry is used.

This Property is created during the installation or upgrade process. This is an enumerated Property with enumerated values that include the Character Sets supported by the Mail Component. This Property can be edited in the Contact window.

By default, the value of this Property is blank.

The value of this Property is set automatically when a Character Set of a Message is changed from the Inbox Workspace.

Indicates whether SMS messages can be sent to Contacts. By default, the value of this Property is set to No. You can change its value to Yes.

Indicates whether incoming SMS messages from the Contact must be blocked.

By default, the value of this Property is set to No.

To block incoming SMS messages from the Contact, you can change the value of this Property to Yes.

Send Email

Indicates whether email messages can be sent to contacts. By default, the value of this Property is Yes.

Its value is changed to No in the following scenarios:

•   Scenario 1:If the contact opts not to receive email messages by clicking an unsubscribe link in an email.

•   Scenario 2: By communicating through other media with the user that email messages must no longer be sent.

In scenario 1, the value of the contact's Send Email property changes to No. This value is then inherited in all leads associated with the contact.

In scenario 2, the user changes the value of the contact's Send Email property to No. This value is then inherited in associated leads.

Indicates the citizenship of the Contact. For example, Non Resident.

Indicates the Contact’s academic grade point average in high school. This is a number type of Property that supports decimal values. For example, 3.5.

This group of Properties determines if a User can call a Contact who is a Target in an outbound Phone Campaign.

By default, the value of this Property is set to Yes.

Any extra-curricular activity performed by the Contact outside the realm of the normal curriculum of education.

Non-immigrant Student Tab

In addition to values of Properties in the Properties tab of the Contact, values of properties in this tab are also sent to the SIS using the functionality of the Outgoing Queue object when the CRM and SIS databases are synchronized. Further, changes to corresponding fields of the Non-immigrant Student tab in the SIS are updated as a result of Incoming Queue items that are created.

The functionality of the Update type column in the Contact-to-Lead and Lead-to-Contact Properties Inheritance Maps is also applicable to properties in the Non-immigrant Student tab.

Categories Tab

This tab lists the Categories created for the Contact Object. From this tab, you can categorize the Contact by selecting one or more Categories.

This tab displays the Activities (Interactions) associated with the Contact. When you select an Activity, the related child Interaction Item View is displayed.

History Tab

This tab displays all the events in the history of the Contact. For example, actions such as Property change for a Contact or Categorization of a Contact are recorded as events in this tab. For a new Contact, this tab is always blank.

Note 

•   After a fresh installation of CampusNexus CRM, audit is disabled for all events and Properties. Hence, audit records will not be displayed in the History tab. Audit can be enabled using the Audit Configuration feature in Business Administrator.

•   However, by default, audit is enabled for the predefined Properties in the Event payment details Record list tab of the Contact window. Audit cannot be disabled for these Properties.

Interactions Tab

This tab lists the Interactions belonging to the Contact.

Opportunities Tab

If you created an Opportunity for the Contact from a Campaign, this tab displays Opportunity-related details.

Orders Tab

This tab lists the Orders associated with the Contact.

Mailers tab

This tab displays details related to the Mailers sent to the Contact. For a new Contact, this tab is always blank.

The following table describes the properties displayed in the Mailers tab:

Property

Description

Target ID

The unique identifier of the Target that corresponds with the Contact in a Campaign. A Contact added to a Campaign is converted into a Target when the Contact progresses from one Step to another in the Campaign. The value for this Property is automatically generated.

Mailer ID

A unique identifier for the Mailer sent to the Contact. The value for this Property is automatically generated.

Subject

The subject of the Mailer sent to the Contact.

Campaign ID

The Campaign to which the Contact was added as a Target.

Campaign name

The name of the Campaign through which Mailers were sent to the Contact.

Mailer Status

The status of the Mailer. It indicates whether the Mailer was sent and delivered to the Contact. This Property can have one of the following values:

  • Sent: Indicates that the Mailer has been sent to the Contact.

  • Sent Failed: Indicates that the Mailer was not dispatched successfully.

  • Undelivered: Indicates that the Mailer was not delivered to the Contact.

  • Opened: Indicates that the Contact viewed the Mailer. This value is displayed only if Read receipts are enabled for the computer on which the Campaign Dispatcher used for sending the Mailer is installed.

  • Responded: Indicates that the Contact has sent a response to the Mailer.

Date of Action

The date on which the Contact performed an action related to the Mailer. This action may be sending a response to the Mailer, clicking a URL in the Mailer or filling a Web form.

Targets Tab

If the Contact is a Target in a Campaign, the Target-related details are displayed in this tab. For a new Contact, this tab is blank.

URLs Clicked Tab

This tab displays the details of the URLs clicked by the Contact. These details are tracked using Business Administrator. The following table describes the Properties displayed in the URLs Clicked tab:

The name of the Campaign through which Mailers were sent to the Contact.

Mailer Subject

The subject of the Mailer sent to the Contact.

URL Name

The name of the Web page that opens on clicking a URL.

URL Details

Details related to the URL accessed by the Contact.

Last Clicked On

The date on which the URL was last accessed by the Contact.

No. of Clicks

The number of times the URL was clicked by the Contact.

Target ID

The Target that corresponds with the Contact in a Campaign.

Mailer ID

The ID of the Mailer sent to the Contact. The value for this Property is automatically generated.

Campaign ID

The Campaign to which the Contact was added as a Target.

Notes Tab

This tab provides a text area in which notes can be added. These notes will be visible to other Users.

Account Tab

This tab displays details of the Account to which the Contact belongs. If the Contact is not associated with any Account, this tab is blank. The following table describes the Properties displayed in this tab:

Name of the Account associated with the Contact. The Account name is displayed as a hyperlink in this column. When this link is clicked, the Account window is displayed.

Reports to

The person to whom the Contact reports. The list of Contacts displayed in this column depends on the hierarchy specified in the Account Hierarchy tab in the Account window.

Team Tab

This tab displays details about the Teams to which Interactions associated with the Contact belong. The following table describes Properties displayed in this tab:

Add a new row to include Team details of the Interaction and Owner details of the User who last responded to the Contact. Details of the number of Interactions in a Team specific to this Contact and the date of the last response from the Owner of the Contact, are displayed in the relevant columns.

Owner

The name of the User who responded last to an Interaction sent by a Contact.

Number of Interactions

The number of Interactions associated with the Contact in a Team.

Date of Last Interaction

The date on which the last Interaction was exchanged between the Contact and a User.

Visit Tab

This tab displays the details pertaining to the Contact's visit to a tracked URL. The following table describes the Properties displayed in the Visit tab:

Visit Attribute

Description

URL

The Uniform Resource Locator (URL) of the corporate website, which was visited by the Contact.

URL in-time

The time when the Contact started browsing the tracked URL.

URL out-time

The time when the Contact finished browsing the tracked URL and navigated away from it.

Duration

The duration (in seconds) of the Contact's visit to the tracked URL.

Formula: URL in-time - URL out-time.

Shopping cart value

The total value of items in the visitor’s shopping cart at any given point during the visit.

Referrer

The person who provided the URL of the corporate website to the Contact.

Browser

The Internet browser used by the Contact.

Form Submitted

Indicates whether the Contact submitted a form hosted on the corporate website. The value for this Property can be Yes or No.

Demo

The name or URL of the demo hosted on the corporate website.

Demo clicked

Indicates whether a Uniform Resource Locator (URL) or a Flash File hosted on the corporate website was clicked. The value for this Property can be Yes or No.

Banner ad

The name or URL of the banner advertisement hosted on the corporate website.

Banner ad clicked

Indicates whether the Contact clicked the banner advertisement hosted on the corporate website. The value for this Property can be Yes or No.

Downloaded files

The names of the files that the User downloaded from the corporate website.

Survey

The name or URL of the Survey hosted on the corporate website.

Ethnic Groups Tab #

This tab lists the Ethnic Group items associated with the Contact.

Pronouns Tab #

This tab lists Pronoun items associated with the Contact.

Test Scores Tab #

The tab lists the Test Score items associated with the Contact.

Addresses Tab #

Calendar Events Tab

The Calendar Events tab displays details of Calendar Events that are sent to attendees. For a new Object record, this tab is always blank. The following table describes the Properties displayed in this tab:

Property

Description

Calendar Event ID

A unique identifier of the Calendar Event. The value for this Property is automatically generated.

Name

The name of the Calendar Event. This value is typed by the user in the Name field of the Add Calendar Event dialog box.

Owner

The name of the logged in user who created the Calendar Event.

Created On

The date and time when the Calendar Event was created.

Last Updated

The date and time when the Calendar Event was last updated.

My Products Tab

This tab lists Properties of the Product Object.

Portal Tab

The Portal tab is available in the Contact window in Desktop Client. It displays information about portals to which the Contact has registered.

My Recommended Applications Tab

Lists applications recommended by the contact. A recommender is a contact who recommends student applications. Alternatively, users can manually add contacts as recommenders to applications.

The following table describe this tab's properties:

A unique identifier for the application.

Name

The name of the Application.

Example

Owner

The owner of the application. By default, the name of the logged in user who created the application is set as the owner of the application.

Team

The team in which the application is created.

Created On

The date and time when the application was created.

Last Updated

The date and time when the application was last updated.

Company

If the Applicant works for an organization, this property indicates its name.

My Applications Tab

Lists Applications associated with the contact. When a Contact submits an Application, it is created and displayed in this tab.

The name of the Application.

Example

Owner

My Recommendations Tab

Lists recommendations that have been included by the user. If the user creates a recommendation received by postal mail, the user can associate the recommendation with the contact (the recommender) by adding the recommendation in this tab.

The name of the Recommendation.

The User who created the Recommendation.

The Team to which the Recommendation belongs.

The date and time when the Recommendation was created.

The date and time when the Recommendation was last updated.

Event Participation Details Tab

Lists details of events in which the contact is a participant. In this tab, users can add or remove the contact from various events. The following table describes this tab's properties:

Participant ID

The ID of Participant associated with the Event.

Participant name

The name of the Participant. By default, the name of the Contact is set as the name of the Participant.

Participation status

Indicates the status of the Participant in the Event. This Property can have one of the following values:

  • Invited

  • Registered

  • Attended

  • Cancellation requested

  • Interested

  • Interested in future events

  • Pending

  • Confirmed

  • Approved

  • Canceled

  • Declined

  • Follow-up

  • No Show

  • Waitlisted

  • Payment failed

Currency

Indicates the type of currency accepted for the Event.

Amount paid

The amount paid by the Participant for the Event.

Balance due

The balance amount, if any, to be paid by the Participant.

Group registration

Indicates whether the Participant belongs to a Group.

Participants Paid For Tab

Lists details of all participants for whom the contact is set as a payee, i.e., a contact who pays the event registration amount on behalf of a participant. You can manually set a payee for a participant from the participant window. The following table describes this tab's properties:

Participant ID

The ID of a Participant.

Participant name

The name of the Participant. By default, the name of the Contact is set as the name of the Participant.

Event name

The name of the Event.

Main Event/Sub Event

Indicates whether the Event is a Main Event or a Sub Event.

Event type

Indicates whether the Event is a Free Event or a Paid Event.

Currency

Indicates the type of currency accepted for the Event.

Amount paid

The amount paid by the Participant for the Event.

Payment method

The method used by the Payee to pay for the Event. This Property may have one of the following values:

  • Credit Card

  • E-Check

  • Wire transfer

  • PayPal

  • Cheque

  • Paid at the event

  • Draft

  • Other

Group registration

Indicates whether the Participant belongs to a Group.

Participation status

Indicates the status of the Participant in the Event. This Property can have one of the following values:

  • Invited

  • Registered

  • Attended

  • Cancellation requested

  • Interested

  • Interested in future events

  • Pending

  • Confirmed

  • Approved

  • Canceled

  • Declined

  • Follow-up

  • No Show

  • Waitlisted

  • Payment failed

Special needs

Any special requests made by the Participant.

The date and time when the Participant was created.

Group Members Tab

Lists details of all participants for which the contact is set as a primary participant, i.e., the leader of a group of participants belonging to an event. A participant can be set as a primary participant of various groups of participants belonging to different events. The following table describes this tab's properties:

The ID of a Participant.

Participant name

The name of the Participant. By default, the name of the Contact is set as the name of the Participant.

Owner

The owner of the Event to which the Participant belongs.

Created On

The date and time when the Event was created.

Last Updated

The date and time when the Event was last updated.

Activities Tab #

This tab lists the Activities associated with the Contact.

Agency/3rd Party Tab #

This tab lists the details of the Account with which the Contact is associated.

Previous Education Tab #

This tab lists details of the Previous Education details of the Contact.

Personal Tab

Lists properties created for the Personal tab. The tab is visible in Desktop Client only for the user who created these properties. Note that the tab is visible to the user only if the user has created at least one property for the tab.

Columns Displayed in a Related Object Tab

Interaction, Opportunity, Order, Target and Account are the Objects that are related to the Contact Object. These Object tabs display properties as column headers in Desktop Client.
