Note

When Team-based security is enabled for the Contact Object, the following behavior is applicable in the Talisma Analytics Workspace:

•   When you run a new report or an existing report that is based on the Contact Object, the report displays only those Contacts that belong to Teams to which the User who is running the report has access.

•   If a report has been run earlier, the Results pane displays the same data that was generated earlier. The report displays the results based on the User who executed the report previously. As a result, information about Contacts might be displayed to Users who do not have access to the Teams to which the Contacts are shared.

This avoid this scenario, in the Report Access dialog box, do not share reports with Teams or Campuses that are mutually exclusive. Further, do not share reports with the Parent and the child Teams, where the child Teams are the subordinates Teams of the Parent Team. This will ensure that Users who do not have access to Teams to which the Contacts are shared do not view the Contact information.

•   Consider a scenario where a Talisma Client User Alan has access to the Ohio Team. While creating or editing a report for the Contact Object, Alan selects Ohio in the Teams page. Further, Alan shares the report with User Brett who has access to the Ohio, Washington, and Maine Teams. In this scenario, when User Brett runs the report, instead of displaying only Contacts that belong the Ohio Team, the report displays Contacts that belong to the Ohio, Washington, and Maine Teams. This behavior is applicable for all custom Shared Objects. The Teams selected in the Teams page will have no impact on the result of the filter that is run to retrieve Contacts in a report.
