Integration Levels
The Connector Framework is designed to support three levels of data integration. The three levels supported within the Connector Framework are:
-
Standard out-of-the-box integration - predefined integration of operational and reference data elements.
-
School Defined Field Integration - integration of School Defined Fields between Anthology Student and CampusNexus CRM.
-
Custom Integration Framework - custom integration of operational and reference data elements.
The first level of data integration is the standard option that is made available with the out-of-the-box version of the Connector component in conjunction with Anthology Student and CampusNexus CRM.
The other two sections describe the need for and the manner in which the School Defined Fields and the Custom Integration Framework are supported by the Connector Framework.
Comparing Custom Levels of Integration
Both School Defined Field Integration and the Custom Integration Framework cater to custom-tailoring that are beyond the scope of out-of-the-box integration.
The following table summarizes the commonalities and differences in the two levels of customization: School Defined Field Integration and the Custom Integration Framework.
Integration Element | School Defined Field (SDF) Integration | Custom Integration |
---|---|---|
Object(s) | Student in Anthology Student to Contact in CampusNexus CRM | Based on Customer Requirements |
Integration Direction | Bidirectional is supported | Based on Customer Requirements |
CampusNexus CRM Object Changes Required | Yes | Yes |
Anthology Student Object Changes Required | No | No |

Filtering Based on School Status
Connector has been enhanced to provide the option to configure a list of non-approved school statuses. The Application Administrator can configure the school statuses at the database level by adding the statuses in the sycrmschoolstatus table. This configuration enables institutions to filter out student and student-related operational data during integration from Anthology Student to CampusNexus CRM. Integration will now happen only for those school statuses that are not defined in the sycrmschoolstatus table.
The Connector data conversion scripts are used to populate student-related data from Anthology Student to CampusNexus CRM. Depending on the business requirement of an institution, these scripts can be modified to include an appropriate Where clause to filter out student records based on specific school statuses.
