Background for DocuSign eSignature

For Anthology Student, you can now set up eSignature with DocuSign. This helps you to manage contract eSignature.

Faculty Workload sends the approved contract to the faculty via email. The DocuSign eSignature platform will allow faculty members to receive and sign contracts.

Prerequisites

You must have:

  • License for DocuSign

  • Defined flows to automate the eSign process in Microsoft Power Automate for DocuSign with Integration Key details. For more information, see Integration with Microsoft Power Automate

  • To configure E-sign using DocuSign two solutions must be imported.

    1. DocuSign Custom Connector Solution

    2. Faculty Contract Management with DocuSign Solution

Important:  To avoid errors during the setup of DocuSign, we recommend importing and configuring the DocuSign Custom Connector before importing the Faculty Contract Management with DocuSign Solution.

Details for Contract Signature

You can define the signature information when you have configured the Faculty Contract Templates page (Select the Configuration tile > locate Faculty Workload > select Faculty Contract Templates.).

The signature tags for DocuSign are auto-placed. The text is used as the label for the placement of the Signature and Date fields in the contract template. This will be updated in the Configuration section of the Faculty eSignature invite with DocuSign flow.

The same Signature and Date fields must be placed in labels, else DocuSign will add details to the contract.

For more information on placing the DocuSign tags, see https://developers.docusign.com/docs/esign-rest-api/esign101/concepts/tabs/auto-place/ . Please contact your DocuSign representative if you have questions.

Details for Contract Acceptance/ Rejection/Delegation

  • Accept the contract: Open the document, select Continue, specify the required fields, such as sign and date, and select the Finish button.

Note: Once the faculty has accepted the contract, it cannot be rejected. Faculty can only view and download the accepted contract.

Note: Once the faculty has rejected the contract, it cannot be accepted again.
