Import the File for the National Do Not Call Registry

You can use the Import tab on the National Do Not Call page to create a batch that imports a file that contains the National Do Not Call (DNC) Registry. You can import a complete or change for a:

  • Complete national list

  • State list

  • Area code list

If you are importing a complete file for the area code or state list, you have the option to append the data. In all other cases, Anthology Student imports all the data in the file. If the file being imported is large, it can take a long time to process the batch.

After importing, you must use the Update tab to update the data in the Anthology Student database.

Prerequisites

You must have:

  • Common - Processes - View authorization

  • Contact Manager - Processes - National Do Not Call - Import authorization

You must have downloaded the file from the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) to a location accessible by Anthology Student and it must have one of these extensions.

  • .txt

  • .xml

When you import the file, Anthology Student creates and then imports the data into the C2000_DNC database on the same system as your Anthology Student database. You must have a minimum of 1.5 GB of space on the server for the database. Consult your Database Administrator for information regarding the available space and requirements.

You should also be familiar with the Background for National Do Not Call.
