Shifts

Description
Shift codes are defined sets of hours in a day that can be assigned to and worked by workers.
Fields
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Shift | Name of the shift code |
| Short code | 5-character identifier. Defaults to the first five characters of the name. |
| Shift description | Long description of the shift code |
| Start time | Start time of the shift |
| Hours length | Length of the shift in hours. Decimal places are allowed. |
| Earning | Default earning code for earning transactions created from time transactions with this shift |
| Shift type | Shift type for use in defining time premiums. Optional. |
| Shift length type | Length type for use in defining time premiums. Optional. |
| Eligibility group | Restriction on workers who can work this shift, based on position type. Also referred to as Shift eligibility group, not to be confused with Eligibility groups. |
| Review | When this flag is set to Yes, processing payroll with this shift generates a run-time exception message |
| Active date | First date the record is in effect |
| Expiry date | Last date the record is in effect |
