Description

Each payment type controls the types of earning transactions and deductions that are allowed on that type of payment. For example, the Regular payment type may allow all types of deductions, but not allow supplemental and gross up earnings. Payment types are required for pay processing.

A payment type may also be associated with statement messages for custom notes issued to workers on their pay statements.
