Publish or Unpublish Reports

If your login is associated with the Contributor role, you have the option to have the option to publish or unpublish reports. This allows Occupation Insight report owners to ensure that only the reports that are ready to be consumed by staff through the Occupation Insight web app are visible. Reports that are a work in progress and should not yet be used can be hidden from users with the Reader role.

For a published report, the home page displays the Published report icon, and the embed page displays the button.

For a an unpublished report, the home page displays the Unpublished report icon, and the embed page displays the button.

The icons and buttons associated with the publish/unpublish functionality are not displayed if your login is associated with the Reader role.

Procedure

  1. Log in as Contributor.

  2. On the home page, select the appropriate option.

    • If you want to publish a report, click Publish Report

    • If you want to unpublish a report, click Unpublish Report

      When you create a new report, the publish/unpublish functionality becomes available after the report is saved.
