The My Appointments Page in Reach

The My Appointments page in the Staff Calendar feature enables users to view appointments that are self-owned in which the user is also a required participant. It's the first page that a user will view, and it provides a snapshot of the user's appointments by day, week and month.

By default, the day view is displayed with the current date selected in the top left corner.

Users can hover over an appointment to view its details:

  • Whether it's In-person or virtual, i.e., whether it's a face-to-face appointment or is happening online or on the telephone.
  • The reason for the appointment (whether it's a session for career planning, counseling, and so on) and its duration.
  • The name of the student.
  • The location of the appointment, i.e., the name of the venue if it is an In-person appointment.

The My Appointments page enables users to:

  • View booked appointment slots.
  • Book appointments by launching the Schedule Appointment page.
  • Cancel appointments or even block and unblock them.

In the above image, the appointment colors indicate that the first appointment was booked from the Schedule Appointment page and the second by creating a new appointment record.

Email notifications will be sent to the advisor and the student when an appointment created in the My Appointments page is accepted, declined or canceled.

The content and dispatch time of these emails are set in the Appointment - Accepted/Declined Email workflow. Administrators can modify a copied workflow and then adapt it to their business scenario.

Note: Ensure that Anthology Reach is configured to allow the dispatch of emails on behalf of a user. To enable this functionality, select Allow other Microsoft Dynamics 365 users to send mail on your behalf (under Settings > Personalized Settings > Email). For information about this option see Microsoft documentation.
