Environment Configuration

1. Dynamics 365 Customer Voice app – this solution add-in to the Anthology Reach platform will be included (https://appsource.microsoft.com/en-us/product/dynamics-365/mscrm.shimla) as part of delivering the Dynamics 365 Marketing Application.

2. Security Roles – To work with surveys, you need to have a role and security rights.

   1. Project Owner – This is the ‘foundation’ role that should be assigned to users who create projects in the Customer Voice portal and access them in Anthology Reach. However, in its current configuration, it grants unnecessary broad rights to the Activity and Contact entities that normally must not be granted – e.g. delete rights. Hence it is recommended to copy this role and clear privileges based on requirements.

   2. Assign the Survey Designer security role to users who will create surveys.

   3. Assign the Survey User security role to users as required so that they can view survey results.

   4. To enable Customer Voice to interact with custom entities in Anthology Reach, assign the Append To privilege to the entities for those users. Alternatively, create a custom security role which contains the Append To privilege and assign it to survey creators.

3. Flows must be enabled for your organization within Anthology Reach

4. To make Customer Voice work with Anthology Reach (Dynamics 365):

   • A connection is required to be provisioned with your environment.

   • Open https://powerautomate.microsoft.com to create a connection to Dynamics 365 Customer Voice. A user will require global admin/Tenant admin access to the environment.

     After the connection is created, Customer Voice will be listed on the Azure portal and the Azure admin can give the required access to the application.

5. To Create the Customer Voice Connector

   1. Go to https://make.powerapps.com/.

   2. Select the org to which to which you want to create a connection.

   3. Select Data > Connections.

      

   4. Click New Connection.

   5. Search for Dynamics 365 Customer Voice

      

   6. It prompts you to log in to the Anthology environment.

      

   7. Provide your credentials to complete the process of creating a connection.
