Overview of Integration with Document Imaging Systems
Higher education and student management processes involve a lot of paper work. Constituent/Student identification processes, address documents, transcripts, financial aid forms, student records, athletics documents etc. require a lot of documentation in Higher Education institutions. Archiving them, finding them, and fetching them can be a challenge for whoever has to look through.
Traditional paper storage and document management techniques may not work due to huge storage and inefficiencies which come along with it. Institutions need a more efficient, streamlined method to handle all of the documents. Document imaging system or Document Management solution addresses this need.
Documents of students and application related attachments can be digitized and stored using a Document Imaging System so that institutions can streamline the document administration process and business activities across their campuses.
Anthology Reach can be integrated with Document Imaging Systems, such as Hyland Perceptive Content and Hyland OnBase that enables institutions to efficiently capture and virtually organize document types, and then route and retrieve a precise page with a single click from within the Anthology Reach application. This enables the administrative staffs of the institutions to work efficiently and collaboratively.
Entities Enabled for Document Imaging System
Entities in Anthology Reach need to be enabled for synchronizing the documents with Document Imaging Systems.
The following entities are enabled, by default, for Document Imaging System in the Anthology Reach solution:
-
Contact
-
Account
-
Lifecycle
-
Application
-
Decision
-
Requirement
-
Events
-
Cases
-
Student Alerts
Reach administrators can enable additional entities for document synchronization with a Document Imaging System using the Entities and DataSet Configurations page (under Settings > Customization > Document Management). For details, see Configure Entities and Dataset for a Document Imaging System.
After the entities in Anthology Reach are enabled for Document management, they must be configured so that the documents attached or uploaded to the entities can be synchronized with the Document Imaging System.
For configuring the entities that are enabled for integration with Document Imaging System, see Configure Integration Details for a Document Imaging System
