Map Earning Code to a Position and a Project Category

The Earning code needs to be mapped to a position or position group and a project category to generate timesheets for a project resource and process the payroll.

Note: Users performing this task must have the Project accountant / Project supervisor / Resource manager role.

Prerequisites

When integrated with Anthology Payroll, the Update Data for Anthology Payroll batch job must be run from Human resources > Human resources shared parameters > Anthology Payroll.

Mapping an Earning Code to a Position or a Position Group and a Project Category

1. Navigate to Project management and accounting > Setup > Timesheets > Position Category Earning Code Mapping.

2. Select New.

3. Select a value from the Valid for Position field.

4. Select a Position or Position Group from the Position drop-down list.

5. Select a value from the Valid for category field.

6. Select a Category from the Category drop-down list.

7. Select an Earning code from the Earning code drop-down list.

8. Select Save.
