Applicant Portal
The Applicant Portal link on the Portal home page provides access to an online application form for the institution.
A web account is required before starting the online application. The web account ensures that an applicant who has started the online application, but has not yet submitted it, can return and complete the process.
The Portal Configuration tool provides an option to configure whether Forms Builder or the Applicant Portal is used for the online application process. The option is found under Page Transactions > Portal Default Page. The default setting is to use the Applicant Portal link (True). To redirect applicants to a form sequence, select the 'False' options and specify the URL for the form sequence..
The Portal Admin Console allows institutions to configure whether Forms Builder or Applicant Portal is used for the online application process. This configuration is available under Site Settings > 'DefaultPageApplicant in the Portal Admin Console.

When the DefaultPageApplicant value is set to the URL for a Forms Builder sequence, the user is redirected to the Forms Builder Renderer web site. Once the online application is completed in the Forms Builder sequence, the applicant is allowed to log in to Student Portal for further processing depending on the institutions business processes.

When the DefaultPageApplicant value is set to the URL of the online application page (ApplyOnline_Step1.aspx), the user is logged in to Applicant Portal and the online application page is displayed along with the Applicant Portal menu options.
