External Links / My Personal Info

The External Links and My Personal Info submenus allow you and your institution to create customized or personalized web pages in Student Portal.

Institutions can add external links to the Student, Faculty, Employer, and Applicant Portals using the Portal Configuration tool. The institution can give the link any name and can also place the links in any order. These links can be new pop-up windows, or external pages loaded directly into the framework of Portal. Institutions can also use single sign-on, which will pass the student’s credentials through to the new page. With single sign-on, students do not have to log on separately to an external link page (for example, to a learning management system).
