Access and Authentication

The URL to access Occupation Insight is https://occupationinsight.campusnexus.cloud. Additionally, administrators can choose to make Occupation Insight available to users in their organization at https://myapps.microsoft.com.

The administrator at an institution will register Occupation Insight and provision user access within their institution's instance of Microsoft Entra ID (ME-ID). When users navigate to Occupation Insight, it will direct them to the ME-ID sign on page for their institution. Institutional users will sign in using the credentials assigned by their administrator. If you are not authenticated, standard ME-ID messages will be displayed.

The permissions associated with user profiles are configured for two roles:

  • Contributor - Report Owners (read and write permissions)

  • Reader - Report Users (read-only permission).

Note: User and group role assignment in ME-ID is overridden if the administrator configures security groups in Occupation Insight. For example, If User1 is a part of a group with Reader role access in ME-ID, and the administrator assigns that group Contributor access via the Occupation Insight web app, User1 will be granted Contributor access in the Occupation Insight web app. Once a security group is configured in Occupation Insight for any location, access for all locations must be configured inOccupation Insight. You do not need to use this feature if you only manage user access for a single location in ME-ID.
