The De-dup feature in Talisma ensures a clean Workflow, and a focused Campaign. De-duping enables you to ensure that there are no duplicates in your list of Targets. You can use the De-dup feature based on base Object Properties. The base Object Properties on which Targets are de-duped depend on the Campaign strategy.

Example   Your organization is running a promotional Campaign. You want to know in which region your new Product will sell successfully. Therefore, the Mailers should be sent to one Target in each City. To ensure that your Campaign reaches only one Target in each city, De-dup Targets based on City. Talisma selects one Target from each city and adds them to the Workflow.

To De-Dup Targets Based on Base Object Properties

1.  Open the required Campaign.

2.  From the Tools menu, select Options. The Options dialog box is displayed.

3.  Select De-dup for, and specify the base Object Properties based on which Targets will be de-duped.

4.  Click OK. Targets that satisfy the specified conditions are removed from the Mailing List.

You can De-dup your Campaign based on the Properties of the base Object of the Campaign.

Note  To avoid sending Mailers to a single base Object item in quick succession, Talisma enables you to specify the duration between two Mailers. The following options are set in Talisma Business Administrator. •   Do not Send more than one Mailer to the same Object in the specified number of days. •   Do not Send more than one SMS to the same Object in the specified number of days. The number of days is displayed as a read-only option in the Options dialog box.
