Activating a Campaign

Activate Campaign - To activate a campaign. Additionally, the permission for the base object in the Manage Campaign permission must also be selected.
By default, Campaigns are set to be in the Inactive state when created. When inactive, no Mailers are sent and Targets do not progress through the Workflow of a Campaign. Inactive Campaigns will not be processed, and the Targets in the Campaign become inert.
A Campaign has to be activated manually. If a Mailing List has been scheduled to run, and the Campaign has not been activated, Targets will not be added to the Campaign at the scheduled time.
To Activate a Campaign
1. Open the required Campaign.
2. From the Campaign menu, select Activate Campaign.

Determining the State of a Campaign
A Campaign can either be in the Active or Inactive state. A Campaign is in the Inactive state immediately after it is created and must be activated manually. The Campaign state Property for an Active Campaign is set to Active.
You can ascertain the state of a Campaign from the Campaign state column in the Table View of the Home Workspace, or any user-defined Workspace based on Campaigns.
