Mailing List Tabs and Properties
The tables in this topic describe the Properties available in the various tabs of the Mailing List window.
The Mailing List window contains the following tabs:
Before reading the descriptions in this topic, see Using Property Tables in Talisma Client Help.
The text "TBA" in the last column of the table refers to Talisma Business Administrator.
Properties Tab
The Properties tab contains system Properties. It also contains custom Properties created for the Mailing List Object. Values for these Properties are set in Talisma Client.

Name * |
The name of the Mailing List. For example, Contact List. This is a free-text field. Maximum number of characters: 255. |

A unique identifier for the Mailing List. |

Owner |
The name of the Talisma User who owns the Mailing List. By default, the User who creates a Mailing List is its owner. You can change the owner by selecting the required User from the list. |

Date created |
The date on which the Mailing List was created. |

The Teams for which the Mailing List is created. This selection can be modified. |

Usage Count |
The number of times the Mailing List was used in Campaigns. Every time a Mailing List is used in a Campaign, its Usage Count is increased by 1. |

Base Object |
The Talisma Object that is set as the base Object of the Mailing List. The Mailing List can be used in those Campaigns that share the same base Object. |

Categories Tab
This tab displays the Categories created for Mailing Lists. From this tab, you can categorize the Mailing List by selecting one or more Categories.
Filters Tab *
This tab displays the Filters defined when creating the Mailing List. At least one Filter must be specified for every Mailing List.
Contacts Tab
This tab displays the list of Contacts that satisfy the search conditions defined in the Filters tab of the Mailing List window. Properties of the Contact Object are displayed as column headers in this tab. For information on the Properties displayed in this tab, see Contact Tabs and Properties.
Note In a scenario where the Mailing List is created for an Object other than Contact, the tab of the Object for which the Mailing List is created is displayed instead of the Contacts tab. |
Schedule Tab
This tab displays the details of the schedules of the Mailing List. A row of details is displayed for every Campaign to which the Mailing List has been added.

Mailing List Name |
The name of the Mailing List that is specified during its creation. |
Schedule Name |
The name of the schedule created for the Mailing List. |
Campaign |
The Campaign to which the Mailing List has been added. |
Scheduled Date |
The date on which the Mailing List is scheduled to run. |
Scheduled |
Indicates whether the Mailing List is scheduled for a particular date, or whether it is a recurring Mailing List. Typically, for a Newsletter Campaign, the Mailing List will be scheduled to recur at a specified frequency. The value for this Property can be Recurring or Non Recurring. |
History Tab
This tab displays the actions performed on the Mailing List. For example, if a Mailing List is categorized, this action is recorded as an event in the history of the Mailing List. To specify the events to be displayed in this tab, select Options from the Tools menu. In the Options dialog box, set the required Mailing List Event options from the Event tab.
Note When Talisma is installed afresh, audit is disabled for all events and Properties. Hence, audit records will not be displayed in the History tab. For more information about enabling or disabling audit, see Business Administrator Help and Installation Manager Help. |
Personal Tab
Lists Properties created for the Personal tab in Talisma Business Administrator. The tab is visible in Talisma Client only for the User who created these Properties. Note that the Personal tab is visible for the User only if the User has created at least one Property for the tab.
Columns Displayed in a Related Object Tab
The Contacts tab is the only related Object tab available in the Mailing List window. This Object tab displays Properties as column headers. You can customize the columns that are displayed in this tab.
