Processing Campaigns
Permissions Required
Manage Campaigns - To create, edit, copy, and delete Campaigns.
By default, all Campaign steps containing the Send mailer Action are processed at intervals of 30 minutes. All other steps are processed at intervals of one hour. You can choose to process all Campaigns in the system immediately using the Process All Campaigns Now option.
When a Campaign is processed, actions in the respective Workflow stages are immediately performed. For example, Mailers are sent, and Opportunities are created for Targets whose Manual Task is marked as Completed.
When you want the Targets in a Campaign to progress to the next step in the Workflow immediately, you need to process the Campaign.
Example A set of Mailers is ready to be dispatched for three different Campaigns. Batches of mail messages to be sent to the first set of Targets in each Campaign have been created. Each batch of messages will be dispatched every hour. One batch has been dispatched five minutes ago. You do not want to wait for 55 minutes for the next batch to be dispatched. You can use the Process All Campaigns Now option to send the next batch of mail messages immediately. |
Unless you process Campaigns, Targets will remain in a stage for a definite amount of time as specified in Talisma Business Administrator. When you process Campaigns, Targets in the Workflow will transition depending on the action taken.
To Process Campaigns
1. In the Home Workspace, select Campaigns from the Object Selector.
2. From the Campaign menu, select Process All Campaigns Now. All the active Campaigns in Talisma Main Database are processed immediately.
Note • Multiple Campaigns can be processed simultaneously. • You cannot selectively process Campaigns. • If you do not want a particular Campaign to be processed, change its state to Inactive. |
