Template Tabs and Properties
The tables in this topic describe the Properties available in the various tabs of Templates in Talisma.
The Template window contains the following tabs:
• SMS Tab
Before reading the descriptions in this topic, see Using Property Tables in Talisma Client Help.
The text "TBA" in the last column of the table refers to Talisma Business Administrator.
Properties Tab
The Properties tab contains system Properties. It also contains custom Properties created for the Mailer Object. Values for these Properties are set in Talisma Client.

Title * |
The title of the Mailer. For example, MyMailer. This is a free-text field. Maximum number of characters: 255. |

Subject * |
The subject of the Mailer. For example, The Big Sale at the Small Store. This is a free-text field. You can personalize the Mailer by inserting Properties in the Subject field. Maximum number of characters: 255. Note As Properties can be inserted in the Subject field of a Mailer, the number of characters may exceed 255 when the Property values are merged. However, the length of the Subject line is restricted to 255 characters when the Mailer is sent. Any characters exceeding 255 characters will be truncated by the mail server. |

Team List * |
The Teams with which the Mailer is shared. Campaigns created in various Teams can use Mailers that are shared with them. |

Author |
The name of the Talisma User who created the Mailer. By default, the User who creates a Mailer is its author. The value for this Property is updated by Talisma. However, you can change the author by selecting the required User from the list. |

Date of Creation |
The date on which the Mailer was created. |

Last Modified |
The date on which the Mailer was last modified. This date is updated every time the Mailer is modified. |

Usage Count |
The number of times the Mailer was used in Campaigns. Every time a Mailer is used in a Campaign, its Usage Count is increased by 1. |

Link Responses Using |
The criterion based on which responses to a Mailer must be linked to the Campaign. Linking responses enables you to easily locate the required responses using Filters. By default, Talisma suffixes a unique identifier to the e-mail ID in the To field of the Mailer. The Mailer is linked to the appropriate Campaign based on the identifier in the To field. You can modify the default linking behavior by selecting the Link Responses using Template ID option from the Template menu in the Template window. When you select this option, Mailers are linked to Campaigns based on the Template ID Property. |

Language |
The language of the Mailer. By default, the value of this Property is set to the language of the Talisma Client computer. You can modify this value. |

Template Type |
The type of Mailer that you create in Talisma. The value of this Property is updated by Talisma based on your selection of one of the following options in the New Mailer/SMS Template dialog box: • Create Mailer Template - when you select this option, the value of this Property is set to Email. • Create SMS Template - when you select this option, the value of this Property is set to SMS. |

Base Object |
The Talisma Object that is set as the base Object of the Mailer/SMS Template. The Mailer/SMS Template can be used in Campaigns that share the same base Object. |

Enable URL Tracking |
This option determines whether URLs in campaign mailers are tracked. By default, the value of this option is No. You can set it to Yes. |

Categories Tab
This tab displays the Categories created for the Mailer. From this tab, you can categorize the Mailer by selecting one or more Categories.
Message Tab
This tab displays the message content of the Mailer. The message text can contain Attachments, Canned Responses, Properties, Offers with Bands, Pictures, Hyperlinks, Trackable URLs, and Forms with Controls. The Message tab contains four tabs, which are described in the following table:

Enables you to create the content of the Mailer. In this tab, you can edit and format text, and insert pictures. |

Enables you to view and edit the HTML source code of the content created in the Edit tab. |
Preview |
Enables you to preview the HTML content. Modifications in the HTML code in the Source tab can be viewed in this tab. |
Text |
Enables you to create plain-text versions of the HTML Mailer. You can edit and format text so that the Mailer can be viewed in mail clients that do not support HTML. |
SMS Tab
This tab displays the automatic response, and Keyword details of SMS type of Mailers.

In a scenario where a Target requests for information from Talisma by sending an SMS message, an SMS Mailer can be used to automatically send a reply SMS message to the Target without the intervention of the User. This Property determines if the SMS Mailer can be used as an automatic response to the Target. It can have one of the following values: • Yes: the SMS Mailer can be used as an automatic response. • No: the SMS Mailer cannot be used as an automatic response. Note You can set a value for this Property only after you save the SMS Template. |

SMS Keyword |
The SMS Keyword associated with the Mailer. By default, the value of this Property is blank. Keywords are text, numeric, or a combination of text, and numeric characters that an organization requests the recipient of an SMS message to type in a response SMS message. Note While you can select a value in the SMS Keyword Property for E-mail type of Mailers, the selected Property value does not affect the functionality of E-mail type of Mailers. |

Automatic response type |
This Property can have one of the following values: • Normal: When this value is set for an SMS Template, the message configured in the SMS Template is sent as an automatic response for all incoming SMS messages, except when the Target responds with an Opt-In or Opt-Out keyword. It is the default value. • Opt-in: When this value is set for an SMS Template, the message that is configured in the SMS Template is sent as an automatic response to the Targets who responded with an Opt-In keyword. • Opt-out: When this value is set for an SMS Template, the message that is configured in the SMS Template is sent as an automatic response to the Targets who responded with an Opt-Out keyword. |

History Tab
This tab lists actions performed on the Mailer. For example, actions such as Property change for a Mailer, or categorization of a Mailer, are recorded as events for the Mailer. To specify the events to be displayed in this tab, select Options from the Tools menu. In the Options dialog box, set the required Mailer Event options from the Event tab.
Note When Talisma is installed afresh, audit is disabled for all events and Properties. Hence, audit records will not be displayed in the History tab. For more information about enabling or disabling audit, see Business Administrator Help and Installation Manager Help. |
Personal Tab
Lists Properties created for the Personal tab in Talisma Business Administrator. The tab is visible in Talisma Client only for the User who created these Properties. Note that the Personal tab is visible for the User only if the User has created at least one Property for the tab.
