The Business Administrator User can configure the Attachment tab in Object windows. The Attachment tab can be configured for the Account, Contact, Event, Opportunity, Order and any custom Object.

You can keep track of the Attachments inserted in an Object. You can insert, edit, and delete attachments, and send them with e-mail messages.

To Add Attachments using the Attachment Tab

1.  Open an Object from the Table View. The Object is displayed in the Object window.

2.  Select the Attachment tab, and from the shortcut menu, select Insert.

The Insert Files dialog box is displayed.

3.  Select a file and click Open. The file is inserted in the Attachments tab.

4.  Double-click the file to open it in a new window.

Properties in the Attachment Tab

Property

Description

Name

The name of the file attached to the Object item.

Size

The size of the attached file, in kilobytes.

Type

The type of the attachment. For example, Microsoft Word Document.

Created On

The date and time when the attached file was created.

Modified On

The date and time when details in the attached file were last modified.

Created By

The name of the person who created the attached file.

Comments

Comments typed by a Talisma User. To add comments for an attached file, right-click in the comments column, and type text in the Insert Text area of the Edit Comments dialog box.
