Setting the Sort Order of a Mailing List
Talisma enables you to sort base Object items in a Mailing List based on the Properties of the base Object. Setting the sort order enables you to refine the list of Targets to be added to a Campaign, based on specific conditions. The sorting can be in ascending or descending order. You can sort the base Object items in a Mailing List using one or more Properties. To do so:
1. Open the Mailing List Manager.
2. Select the required Mailing List, and click Edit. The Mailing List window is displayed.
3. From the Mailing List menu, select Sort Order.
The Sort dialog box is displayed. This dialog box consists of a table that lists the base Object Properties in the Properties column, and the sort order in the Order column.
4. Select the Properties on which you want to sort the Mailing List.
This dialog box displays Properties that are displayed in the Select Columns dialog box in the Table View of the base Object in the Home Workspace. Other Properties of the base Object are not available for setting the sort order.
5. Click in the corresponding Order column, and select Ascending or Descending, depending on the order in which you want to sort the base Object items for the Mailing List.

7. To specify the number of Targets to be included in the Mailing List, select Add top "n" Contacts to Campaign, and specify the number by typing or selecting a value in the list box. To add all the Targets, select All from the list. For example, if you specify 100 in this field, only the first 100 Targets from the sorted list are added to the Campaign.
8. Click OK.
9. From the File menu, select Save.
