Web Form Integration Process

When CampusNexus CRM receives an email generated from the Web Form, it automatically scans the Subject line. If the magic string is found, an Interaction is created, or any of the other Objects as appropriate, and displays the event as, “Web Form message received…” in the Interaction history.

After recognizing the email received from a Web Form, the system searches the body of the email for special tags, retrieves the values passed to those tags, and updates the Main database. Each value is sent as a special tag in the body of the email.

Note 

When creating a Web Form to generate Interactions, if Contact details and Interaction details are captured on the same page, the Contact details must precede the Interaction details to thread Interactions to the appropriate Contacts. This is a prerequisite to ensure that the details of the Contact entered in the Interaction section do not overwrite the details entered in the Contact details section, which may lead to incorrect threading.
