Team Permissions

The following table lists the various team-level permissions, and describes the corresponding actions.

Note 

•   The Manage <custom Object> Categories Permission is available only if the <custom Object> has been configured to be categorized.

•   The Assign <custom Object> Permission is available only for Team <custom Object> items.

•   The Share <custom Object> Permission is available only for Shared <custom Object> items.

Team Level Permissions Actions Allowed User

Team Admin Functions

The Team Admin Functions group of Permissions enables the User to perform Team Admin functions in Business Administrator.

When this option is selected, all Permissions listed in the group are automatically selected.

Note: The Team-based security for the Contact Object functionality is not applicable for the User who has the Team Admin Functions group of Permissions. For more information about Team-based security for the Contact Object, contact Product Support.

Edit Team

Editing details of the Team in which the User is granted this Permission.

Business Administrator User

Manage Properties

Creating, editing, and deleting user-defined Tabs, Groups, Properties, and Relationships for Objects.

A User with the Manage Properties Permission in a Team can:

Create Tabs in the selected Team.

Create Properties in the Tabs of the selected Team. The Permission is revoked if the Tab is shared with other Teams.

Create Relationships for any Object in the Tabs of the selected Team.

Delete Properties and Relationships if the Object Property is created in the selected Team.

Create a Related Object Property in the Tab of the selected Team.

Business Administrator User

Manage Rule

Creating, editing, and deleting Team-based Rules for the Team in which the User is granted this Permission.

Manage User

Creating a User, copying a User, deleting a User, adding an existing User to a Team, removing an existing User from a Team, and setting the Properties of other Users in the Teams in which the User has been granted this Permission.

When this Permission is selected, its child Permission, Edit User, is automatically selected.

Adding an existing User to a Team, removing an existing User from a Team, and setting the Properties of other Users in the Teams in which the User is granted this Permission. As a User with this Permission, one can also modify the User details of oneself in the relevant Teams.

Interaction

The Interaction group of Permissions enables the User to perform tasks related to the Interaction Object in Desktop Client.

When this option is selected, all Permissions listed in the group are automatically selected.

Add/Remove Sub Interaction

Creating Sub Interactions for, and removing Sub Interactions from a parent Interaction. This Permission is required in the Team to which the parent Interaction belongs.

Assign/Transfer Interaction

Assigning Interactions to other Users in the Team or to oneself and transferring Interactions to other Users.

Can get Auto Assigned Interactions

Receiving Auto Assigned Interactions routed by User Assignment Rules. New Interactions are automatically assigned to Users who have been granted this Permission.

Example

The following image depicts the display of the Manage Campaign Permission in a scenario where Campaign Support is enabled for the Contact, Enrollment, and Lead Objects:

Users who have the Manage Campaign Object-level Permission for an Object can perform the following operations on Campaigns based on that Object:

•   Create a Campaign

•   Edit a Campaign

•   Add base Object items as Targets to a Campaign

•   Delete, restore, and purge a Campaign

•   Set Properties for a Campaign

•   Set a Reminder for a Campaign

•   Categorize a Campaign

Note

•   When you install CampusNexus CRM, even though Campaign Support is enabled for the Contact Object, the Contact Permission in the Manage Campaign Permission will not be selected.

•   When you select the Manage Campaign Permission, all Object-level Permissions will be automatically selected. In this scenario, if you enable Campaign Support for another Object, the corresponding Manage Campaign Object-level Permission will also be selected.

Enables the Desktop Client user to activate a saved campaign.

The user can activate campaigns that:

•   Belong to teams to which you have access, and

•   Are created for base objects that are selected in the Manage Campaign permission.

The Application group of Permissions enables the User to perform tasks related to the Application Object.

When this option is selected, all Permissions listed in the group are automatically selected.

You can select the Application Permission only if your institution has purchased the Application Management license.

Note 

The names of Permissions for the Application Object are based on the name specified for the Application Object when Application Management is installed. For example, if the text App is specified during the installation of Application Management, the Application Permission will be displayed as App, the Manage Application Permission will be displayed as Manage App, and so on.

Note 

By default, the Recommendation Object names are suffixed with the text Recommendation to the name specified for the Application Object during the installation of Application Management.
