Specifying the Order for Triggering Rules

By default, Routing Rules are triggered first, followed by User Assignment Rules, and then Team Object Rules.

In the Rules Manager, you can set the order in which rules must be triggered, using the Move Up and Move Down buttons. These buttons are enabled only if a specific event has been selected in the Event list, and if multiple rules have been created for the selected event. If you select All Events from the list, the Move Up and Move Down buttons are disabled.

If multiple rules are created for an event, these rules are triggered based on their order of creation. You can change the sequence in which these rules are triggered, to prioritize rules for certain conditions over others.

To Modify the Sequence in which Rules are Fired

1.  Select the Rules node from the Navigation pane to view the Rules Manager.

2.  Locate the rules created for a specific event.

3.  Click or corresponding to a rule, to set the order of preference in which the rules must be triggered.
