Creating Categories and Groups

1.  In the navigation pane, select Contact Preferences and then click the New button in the right pane. The Category Details page is displayed.

2.  Type valid values for the category and group and then click Add.

The category and group are created, and the Active option is selected for the group.

Note

•   The Active check box governs the display of the group in the Preferences tab of the Contact and in the Preferences dialog box in the following Campaign actions:

◦   Send mailer

◦   Send SMS

◦   Create Letter

◦   Create Label

•   Category and group names must be unique and cannot be repeated.

•   While a group can belong to only one category, a category can have multiple groups.
